Sounds like Button’s manager, Richard Goddard has been on the phone to several high-profile journos. The clear implication of the stories is that Porsche have offered JB a drive, and if McLaren don’t offer him a contract soon, he will jump before he is pushed.
Button driving a front-running Porsche would be a game-changer for the WEC’s profile in the UK.

Porsche looking to run a "Former F1" car, courting Button, already got Webber, maybe going to try to pinch Wurz or Buemi.
On a side note I'd rather see Button in DTM or Indycar if he leaves F1 but I don't think that's likely, after watching my first WEC race yesterday I didn't warm to it, too long and drawn out for my liking.

I'd be surprised if he does his own leg work, and the only original material on his page is 'clickbait' (ie plain old trolling).
Let's be fair: Benson spends so much time kissing Fred's backside (in print, of course) that he can't possibly be expected to find the time to do his own research. THP150 said:

I think most (if not all) of us agree that we'd rather see him in F1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/29660644

Once he leaves F1 then I think he'd do well (and be very popular) in Indycar.

I think he should give it ago at some point even if not this season.
I'm sure being a Le Mans winner and or endurance car champion would be a nice addition to the F1 championship.
Don't forget he has no interest in sports car racing.I'm sure being a Le Mans winner and or endurance car champion would be a nice addition to the F1 championship.

There's too many people on PH who consider their opinion to be fact.
Anyway, Jenson is nice and whilst people like a nice guy he's a bit dull. He's had a great career and even if he had the best car for the most of 2009, is still a WDC, however, he's past his best and his heart doesn't seem to be in it any more. I think there's a bit much of the "support him cos he's British" whether people admit it or not, but you need to realise that he's past his peak and he's not the most marketable driver on the grid.
It's looking increasingly likely Alonso will replace him, and even if you think he's a C U Next Tuesday, he'll bring the sponsors in including Santander I would assume. I've never been Alonso's biggest fan but you have to admit he can be exciting to watch.
Although they're both or similar age and are both past their peak, Fred has more fans than JB and is a better driver.
