I saw this hard hitting docu a while back on TV and it's now coming out as a book with the balance of the drivers stories from the interviews which could be even more revealing...
A terrifying time in F1 but I bet it's a good read. I'm ordering one...
Anyone else...?

Is it as sloppy as the TV programme - which seemed to include accidents that were nothing to do with grand prix racing.

Well each to their own...
I thought the film was a great insight into a period that is brushed over a bit too much.
It showed how terrifying it had become - we should be grateful its not like that anymore...
And I didn't think there was anything non GP related in it?

It was OK but the title was misleading. It should have been called "Motor racing - The Killer Years".

Far more racing drivers died outside of Grand Prix racing (and sometimes still do) than in grand prix.
