Where next for Max Chilton?

Ok, perhaps a poor choice of example then. My point was that Max didn't exactly set F1 alight but that he would make an excellent Endurance driver.
Anyway, this is all getting a little tedious now - especially BritishRacinGrin's aggressive yet doe-eyed fandom - so I'll leave you guys to your love-in.

Great news for Max - will do better for his career than a back of the grid F1 car imho.
Absolutely. His ability to bring it home without damage in a "slow and steady" way is exactly what is needed for Endurance racing. I reckon he'll shine there.

Last year, "slow and steady" might have got 6th. At times, some of those boys were literally "on it" for 4 hours at a time. Jani in paticular had a habit of being noticably rapid for a full stint. His ability to bring it home without damage in a "slow and steady" way is exactly what is needed for Endurance racing. I hope Max gets to prove the critics wrong - he'll certainly get his chance, there's no hiding in the 24h..

I'm at Le Mans this year
Though I didn't see it at the time in hindsight WEC was the obvious choice.
There have been plenty of ex-F1 drivers who've not got the breaks or been able to shin in F1 who've gone on to have fantastic endurance/sports car careers. Could be the start of a great career for Max. The next Derek Bell?
Good luck to him.
