He seems more than a capable racer - not everyone is a Hamilton, Alonso esk driver.

Having raced in WEC, F1 and Indycar and not been out of his depth, (look at some of the pay drivers in GT champs/BTCC) I think he is doing fine.
Yeah. Really. The number of times he went backwards in GP2 and couldn't effect a decent overtake led me make that comment. He's not aggressive enough. Fine when ahead like Britney but close combat doesn't suit him.

But he always brings the car home though. I think he is perfect for WEC

I don't think he's doing fine at all this year. His seat at Ganassi has been wasted and there is a host of drivers who would love to be in Max's position. Plenty of drivers have looked good and competitive in their rookie year in lesser teams and managed to get top ten finishes.

His wheel to wheel racing seems questionable. I can't see how he can be suited to WEC as you have to race with your elbows out and push the cars hard in P1 and GTs - which is as competitive as Touring Car racing and I wouldn't want him in the top teams in either. P2 would appear to be Max's level but then there's some lairy drivers there.
