Indeed. It was completely uncalled-for.
What did he say? I got a phone call just at that time rolleyes
He managed to shoehorn about twelve references to Lewis beating him in 2008 in the space of one sentence.

Absolutely. It made the season I think. It could have been a very dull Schumacher-era Ferrari season otherwise.

Sad way for it to end but I guess in 'fairness' terms it is preferable to Hamilton having a DNF and Rosberg stealing it. Although I would have liked to see Rosberg win.

I really hope the other teams can close the gap to Merc next year, today was another race totally dominated by them. Abu Dhabi just doesn't float my boat as a great race track for some reason.

I think that is Rosberg's one and only chance gone. Next year Hamilton will have a smoother start to the year and totally dominate a downbeat Nico (assuming Merc have the leading car again).

Totally agree, great that Toto, Paddy and Niki are so open with the media too.

Fantastic season, okay race, brilliant champion. Shame for Rosberg but major kudos for finishing the race. Very happy boy right now.

I hope for a Merc v Williams v RBR championship next season. Ricciardo and Bottas gotta be worth a bet.

I guess that you can't please all of the people all of the time (or perhaps, there's no pleasing some people), but I've been following F1 for 25 years and I've found this season to be one of the best I can remember. It's been brilliant.
I've been following F1 for a similar period and I agree, this season has been immense. Some of the racing throughout he field has been stunning.

Rosberg being very gracious in defeat (or going for damage limitation).

"Lewis won the race fair and square, so my position has no relevance really. he won the Championship fair and square." (paraphrased)

Well, absolute fking rage. Missed the start as slept in. Went to watch it on iPlayer, no catch up yet, but when you watch it live you can start from the beginning. I do this and it doesn't start from the beginning. Instead it shows me LH stood on the top step. So I'm absolutely fking fuming right now (not at LH winning).

I've really enjoyed this season, especially the season-long battle between Nico and Lewis. Really happy with Lewis coming out on topthumbup and relieved that the stupid double points was ultimately irrelevant.

Really delighted to see a resurgent Williams.

I've grown to like the sound of the cars, too.

It took my iPad 5 minutes to load all those smileys.. hehe

Congratulations to Lewis, the deserving champion, well done to Nico for racing him so close and for being gracious in defeat and well done to Merc for letting their drivers race, having the reign of Redbull, it has been refreshing.

And well done to sky, fabulous coverage all year with the warmup races, the team are the best out there and personally I think the front man has been brilliant this year.

Very happy Lewis is world champ!

I feel over the season he has deserved it with the number of race wins and were he to not win the championship this weekend I would have felt a massive injustice had occurred.

I also had a massive dislike of Nico which had built up throughout the season however when his team were telling him to box near the finish and he said no I want to finish the race despite being down in 12th or 13th place, that changed my mind on him a bit. I thought good on you.
That and him making his way up to the podium room to congratulate Lewis at the end. Fair play on Nico's part and has changed my opinion on him tbh.

Two world titles for two different teams. Lewis joins a pretty special group of drivers:

Schumacher
Prost
Piquet
Lauda
Fittipaldi
Stewart
Hill
Brabham
Fangio

I agree. The Sky F1 coverage has been pretty much worth the cost of the Sky subscription alone.

(Although, in fairness, I have a grandfathered package that makes it cheaper for me than many people)
