I thought he'd keep #44 on the car. Hat off to him.

Last time there was no #1 on the grid? 1994?

Wait... I thought the coverage had finished? confused

Edit: Oh! Seems they extended the coverage. I switched off when the adverts started at the time the show was due to end. Looks like it wasn't over. Damn.
bks. Same here. I thought that was the end of it as well. Sod it.

Seems as though they postponed the next programme for 30 mins. I think it's about to wind up now.

Yes. The Team have said their farewells now and it looks like a playout montage.

I'm of the opinion (and I know others will disagree with me) that the Sky F1 coverage has been the best coverage we have ever had in the UK. Even better than the BBC coverage in the year before the Sky deal started (which in itself was the pinnacle of BBC's coverage).

In many ways, the BBC showed them the way. No doubt had the Beeb decided to continue to invest in F1 rather than The Voice, we'd all still be watching Brundle and waxing lyrical about the beeb's show....

Yes, that's true. Sky did rather poach the very cream of the BBC team for their channel.

The show on the Sky F1 channel right now about John Barnard is very interesting.

Agreed, in 20 years of really watching it, sky has stood out, the whole commentary team including the practice sessions etc have been excellent, knowledgable, respected and very likeable.

It also makes it a weekend of Motorsport which is again good, I like to catch up with the practice sessions in the morning and watch the GP3 and GP2 as well, even the classic races, interviews and features have been really good.

Just watching the fun the team have on a weekend, Simon has vastly improved to being a great anchor who has held it together rally well.

Well worth the fee and probably the best in sport full stop.

Agree.

I sometimes find the pre & post race shows to be more interesting than some of races.

I agree. Many people were very disparaging about him in his first year, completely forgetting that Jake Humphrey was just as bad in his first year too.

It also amused me greatly that Jake "Mr. F1" Humphrey then buggered off to football. smile

And look what a great decision that was for the BBC....

Interesting comparison of points scored for the team between teammates, this is without double points.
Vergne and Kvyat stat makes Kvyat's move to RB seem slightly silly.
And the idea of dropping Button in favour of Mag is a joke. Unless the uppity Spaniard has a veto over team-mate in his contract, and wants a very clear second place man in the garage.
