So 1.6 secs between the Mercs and everyone else.

Can we stick the Mercs at the back and see what they can do from there? Can be like Sly and that other bloke in Driven smile

If they diddn't do FP2, FP3 or quali and started from the pit lane they would still finish 1-2 in the race.

Maldonado may have something to say about that.

He now can't be beaten regardless of the race results
Dean Stoneman if he had gotten the pole position points could have mathematically still won the GP3 title. He didn't

So McL awaiting decision from sponsor as to whether they can afford to have JB in addition to Alonso.

So it's a matter of of money.

Who would have thought.

But to be fair our government banned tobacco advertising, but tobacco consumption is relied upon. As you say, money convinces well.

The front end looks much better on the Mclaren with the new front wing on, makes you wonder if they're kicking themselves for not trying something earlier in the year!

"If we kept the V6s, we could go twin turbo, which would address the noise issue. Perhaps a standard KERS and some standard components and then we could have an engine that was more affordable for all the teams. That is our idea, but I'm sure one of our competitors won't agree"
Dig at Mercedes there? Interesting thought though, if unlikely to happen.

Honda wouldn't agree to bringing the V8s back either. You can't ask five other companies to spend an incredible amount of money building an engine to your prescription, change your mind after 2 years prompting two of those companies to quit the sport then after a further 3 years announce that because your own invention is actually a turd, you want to change the rules again.
Especially as, as I understand it, it was Red Bull's engine supplier which was one of the driving forces for the new engines being brought in.

Horner wasn't suggesting bringing the V8s back, at least not in the above quote. "If we kept the V6s". He is suggesting that making the existing V6s twin turbos with a more standardised KERS etc would help to make them more affordable, and that being twin turbo would make them sound better than at present

A trouble-free #FP2 ends with @kamui_kobayashi P18 (38 laps, 1:45.505) & @WillStevens_ P19 (34 laps, 1:47.057) #AbuDhabiGP

Is it possible Woof could have pedalled round quicker than Stevens?

To be fair, I didn't watch it live, he may have had some technical issues.
