Has everyone seen the new McL front wing?

Can't think where the inspiration for that came from...hehe
SKY F1 basically said it was a carbon copy of the Red Bull bit with the new flows..

A trouble-free #FP2 ends with @kamui_kobayashi P18 (38 laps, 1:45.505) & @WillStevens_ P19 (34 laps, 1:47.057) #AbuDhabiGP

Is it possible Woof could have pedalled round quicker than Stevens?

To be fair, I didn't watch it live, he may have had some technical issues.
It is possible and I would have been quicker for sure wink

"If we kept the V6s, we could go twin turbo, which would address the noise issue. Perhaps a standard KERS and some standard components and then we could have an engine that was more affordable for all the teams. That is our idea, but I'm sure one of our competitors won't agree"
Dig at Mercedes there? Interesting thought though, if unlikely to happen.
I didn't have Christian down as such a champion of cost reduction. He couldn't have another agenda could he?

Horner wasn't suggesting bringing the V8s back, at least not in the above quote. "If we kept the V6s". He is suggesting that making the existing V6s twin turbos with a more standardised KERS etc would help to make them more affordable, and that being twin turbo would make them sound better than at present
Twin turbo would also prevent the "splitting of the V" Merc design, as if you run a charger on each bank you can't have them both running shafts through the middle, effectively destroying merc's idea.

So does everyone have to call them just "Williams Racing" this weekend, rather than "Williams Martini Racing"?
They are being sponsored this weekend by former Minardi F1 driver Pier-Luigi Martini. So it's ok biggrin

Well it definitely looks very similar! I laughed earlier when James Allen hinted that Peter Prodromou had turned up at McLaren with a Red Bull front wing and a can of silver paint!

Just seen the Williams in FP1, their non alcoholic colours are just the light and dark blue parts of the Martini stripes, no red stripes and no logos. Looks alright smile .
So they removed the red stripe because of religion.

Kees use should be totally unlimited, it should be the batteries that are reduced in weight each year to drive tech. But then again, tech drives up costs.

Exactly. He grates on me more with every race weekend that passes. Seems to never say a truthful word, always dodging questions etc. Some reckon he will succeed Bernie, and he'd fit right in.

After his penalties have been applied, Romain Grosjean will be starting from the back of the grid of the Italian Grand Prix, held 2 months ago.
