Why did merc go out on supersofts in q1 ?

Quite a loud cheer from our stand when nico got pole, hopefully we willbe able to out shout them tomorrow !

Few mistakes from hamilton, but done all he actually needs

No way are Williams getting involved even with that, unless there are mechanical issues/ big driver error or pit problem.
Why would they not?

What a moaning sh!t rosberg is....
What does he want his engineer to do...run alongside and attempt to kiss his ass?
Martin suggests that Engineers don't get too excited by things.

Hope if Nico does win the big prize tomorrow the same engineer says, "yeah, okay, well, guess what, you lucked into it, congrats, I s'pose, whatever."
Better if rosrberg is leading ricciardo into the final corner with lewis in 3rd to tomorrow then his engineer comes on the radio with the volume at 14 screaming "YESYESYROSBERGCHAMPOMGOMGLOLZ!!" and distracts rosberg and he crashes...

why not?

they need the primes for the race, only need one set of options, the set they start on.

Watching the GP2 race, tomorrow's F1 race is going to be decided by the tyres

might be reading too much into this BUT!

Williams are almost 10Kmh faster, add in DRS is going to be interesting.
Massa payback for Hamilton? Hamilton cannot take the same risks as Massa.
Massa pretty much got put of the way in Monza. Can't see it being any different.

Because it seems nearly every week people say the same thing, and yet they are still at least 0.5 seconds a lap slower every time?

O/T

There are some mahooosive yachts on show at this circuit, there appears to be 3 or 4 moored outside the actual marina, due to their size I presume? One looks like it is called Dubai? There is a smaller much more sleeker one near it, looks stunning, any idea of a name?

Red Bull face an official investigation after governing body the FIA declared their car illegal at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The FIA said the front wings on the cars of both Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel were too flexible.

Teams can gain an aerodynamic advantage by front wings that flex downwards at speed.

The team will now probably either have to modify the wings and start from the back of the grid or race under appeal.

More to follow.

Because theyre in a fight for 3rd in the CC with Ferrari which I'd imagine they'd dearly love to win rather than go dicking around in the DC.

Unless a simple situation or chance presents itself they'lol stay well out.

I'd say more the fact their whole business has turned around in under 12 months thanks to Mercedes engines would be more important...

I think the one you are describing is Smerelda - http://www.charterworld.com/news/tag/silver-zwei

Or Dragonfly - http://www.charterworld.com/index.html?sub=yacht-c...

They both have the same sandy coloured hull.

Really hope Lewis takes it this weekend.

Despite having 1 more DNF and 2 back row starts, despite Nico's puncture in Spa and block in Monaco he's managed to win 10 races to Nico's 5. He more than deserves this championship.

I wonder if this is why mclaren were not running their new one? (As in their copy does not flex and thus does not work any better)

Probably also linked to the car not being designed to it exactly too.

I wonder if the McLaren situation somehow helped bring the issue to light?
