I think it looks Ok, the problem is; most of you were expecting/hoping for the old Marlborough era colour scheme and I'm afraid, it was never going to happen.
That's all fine, if Mclaren hadn't spent the last few months strongly suggesting a white/red livery, so they've shot themselves in the foot here. Thing is, the rumour that they were moving away from silver due to the connection with Mercedes made total sense, so this is very odd.
It is very light on sponsors, as were their overalls, so I wonder if there are updates to come. Well, hope rather than wonder.
Such a wasted opportunity to go for a new colour scheme and get ALOT of TV coverage. Are the TV cameras really going to be that interested in focusing on another boring looking silver Mclaren? Let's just hope they have a quick car.

Honda seem to quite like silver.
Historically white is Japan's racing colour, as BRG is Britain's, Red is Italy and Silver is Germany. Also, historically Germany is white or silver, whilst Japan is white with a red sun.

From Skyf1 blog
According to McLaren, the new car 'is a thoroughly refined evolution of last year’s McLaren, it is the only chassis on the grid to be fitted with Honda’s RA615H Hybrid power unit, and it features an evolved colour scheme that firmly contextualises McLaren’s brand in the 21st century.'
I am assuming that the sky f1blog is having making a Ronspeak gag, and not quoting directly...
- UPDATE: oh my god, Pitpass is carrying the same quote. I cannot believe they actually said "evolved colour scheme that firmly contextualises McLaren's brand in the 21st century" - what does that even mean?!

They weren't suggesting a white and red livery, they were inferring a return to a succesful past partnership; McLaren Honda, I suggested as much when everyone was creaming themselves over a return to the white and red livery from the previous McLaren Honda days.
