OK. This may be a colossal long shot..but I have contrived to be on the late flight from Hong Kong to London on Sunday - which means missing the bloody race, UNLESS i can find somewhere at HK airport that will be showing it. Does anyone know the airport here and if they have a bar/TV which might be showing? Apologies to all for the specificity of this one but I'm desperate!

It'll be on Fox Sports, which airline are you flying? It's normally on in the lounge well Cathay normally show it.

Thanks. I'm on BA at 2330. Which means that I should have time to watch from the start to finish, IF it's at the airport. BA lounge doesn't show it - checked. Will try Cathay. I can't seem to find an online streaming site that works in HK. Guess i could set up a VPN and watch it on iplayer but the buffering makes it near impossible. So would much rather find another route to watch online, or best an airport TV with a beer and a chair!

Couple of suggestions for you,

Go to Regal airport hotel, ground floor there is a bar/restaurant and have TV's they may show the race, it's only 2 min walk from the Terminal.

Or take a bus to Tung Chung, 5 mins away cost about 30p S64 or S1,, there's a a couple of bars there that may show the race.

I'll be there Sunday too

In the airport there is a little coffee shop/cafe in departures. They have(had?) free wifi.

Fab. Am checking with Cathay if they have Fox Sports. But to be sure will try Regal hotel first, they seem to have a direct connection via walkway to airport. Ideal!

Love this forum - thanks everyone.

Update in case anyone else is in my situation (unlikely I grant you but hey) - Cathay say they won't be showing it in lounge "as they always have CNN on". Regal Hotel is not sure but think they will show football. So the alternative seems to be the Velocity Bar and Grill at the Hong Kong Sky City Marriott hotel which shows all sports, a 10-12 min walk from terminal!

A very misleading thread title.

I also assumed it was going to be about someone with no money or locked in a prison cell. biggrin

Youll have to be running it through Puffin Browser if youre on an iPad or 'phone.

Expat TV is a good one too.
