It's probably the lowest facet of humanity (and lets face it, there are many) that some people can still find an introverted subjective reason to hate someone, even when there is no tangible reason, just because they are not their chosen favourite. The scary thing is, they can openly construe it to be just. The deepest, darkest, longest running "hates" in humanity all work at this same level, IMO.
Indeed, one wonders if the same people go on the music threads and deride; Fat Boy Slim, Puff Daddy or Will-I-Am for wearing earrings, gold chains and having funny names? It's most peculiar that someone can "hate" a chap for his accent yet almost certainly find it acceptable in 99.99999% of other people. Odd wobble

I don't get why people who don't like him post on threads like this. They obviously can't read the title, these freakish types who are in a negative orbit of LH. Obsessing over him like they're experts on hair and jewellery fashions...

Presumably they would all have wked themselves into a coma if Rosberg had won the WDC.

Not to mention all of the experts on travelling the world, doing corporate stuff and interviews constantly, then living in the US during the downtime with an american, celebrity lifestyle etc. There's no way that would rub off on Danielsan. When he's in the media spotlight, it's only stiff upper lip and Queen's English wink

Anyway well done to LH, but try to make a few more mistakes next year for the tragic types to celebrate, or else they may well mentally implode and go crazy with a carving knife in a shopping centre (assuming they leave the house).
hehe

No one has denied what an amazing talent he is. It's other bits that some people can overlook or have bit of an issue with. Pick a fault and its blown out of proportion. Nobody hates him.

Other drivers have a spectrum of opinion. Mansell: hero driver/whining Brummie; Senna & Schumi: great driver/bloody cheat.

Yes; by thickos who couldn't spot sarcasm if it came up and slapped them in the face, ten times over... with a shovel.

And a pickaxe.

Oh, ok. I must have misread. laugh That or people struggle to find correct the word to describe their feelings which seeing as Pistonheads is mostly populated by well built company directors and F1 experts I find hard to believe. hehe

Or there's Fred the Slimy Spaniard el wko: liar, cheat, acensoredehole and generally disgraceful excuse for a human being, not to mention an over-rated & overpaid driver.
No alternatives acceptable.

What an unjustified, offensive and ignorant post. I don't think it's hard to see who is the anus here.

ORLY? Just wait until he starts releasing his music. It's not going to be the sort of stuff the typical PHer can whistle or dance to. biggrin

But it will provide another angle for the Hamilton bashers to use when grinding their axe.

I think anyone who, out of all the threads lewis is talked about and whined about on, can't let even his WDC "congratulations" thread slip by without coming on this one too to repeat their generic sobs about how much they hate him needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

Well said Derek, I don't really care what he is like out of the car, he is a great and exciting driver. The fact he is prepared to demonstrate his emotions and personality at times is no bad thing in my view.
No bad thing? At times you can look like an idiot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBPBrJ74C8I
It was obviously sarcastic, although as Max Mosley was still around at the time (or had only recently departed, I can't remember the exact timing) he could be forgiven for thinking it to be true.

Congratulations to a worthy champion!

To anyone who thinks that he's not (one of) the best driver(s) on the grid, has anyone else ever came in to the sport and nearly won the championship in their debut season? He was quick enough in 2007 for the World Champion Alonso to spit the dummy.

I hope this is the start of more championships to come for Lewis, however, I'd like to see a good battle at the front for it between a few teams. Button and Alonso's opinion that he's the best driver they've had on the other side of the garage has a lot more weight to it than the complete dung that is spouted by some on here.

Jacques Villeneuve did the same in 1996.

No one on Pistonheads disputes he's one of the best drivers on the grid. They hate the fact that he wears an earring.
