Nothing is impossible, but very little evidence to suggest that will happen..........

That's not a fair comparison, at least you have a chance of winning the lottery.

Could easily have happened this year. No reason why NR's car problems should not have hit LH at either the last race or any other race he had problems. It would have been a travesty but could easily have happened.

Lewis may be relevant to this thread, but how the fk does EVERY thread somehow end up with butt-hurt f1 fans that can't accept him winning the wdc just constantly going on about him, upto a point where he somehow turns into the main subject of any threads!?

Even threads like this one, that compares Rosberg to Schumacher, Lewis becomes the most talked about person on it!?

His wdc, and deserves to be. GET OVER IT.

Much though people like to support individual drivers, it's clear that the best driver on the grid would struggle to even get podiums in a mid-field car (as Alonso has proved this year), yet most drivers on the grid would win (or come second to their team mate) if they had a car that was 1-1.5 seconds per lap faster than the competition as has been the case with this year's Mercedes. The drivers get the rewards and the praise, but it's the engineers and designers who win races.
So why do Mercedes want to pay each of their drivers 20 million + per year, when they can just stick anyone in the best car on the grid?

You should probably contact them to that they could save money by hiring Chilton and paying him £0 per year.

Your final line is crazy. The drivers work with the engineers to get the best out of the car, and their feedback goes directly into the development of new cars/parts. It is not all about the engineers, and drivers do not just drive.

In 2012, Michael Schumacher matched Rosberg in qualifying (10-10) and beat him in terms of races that they both finished (7-3).

This is the same Rosberg who has been very closely matched (although not quite as good) to Lewis Hamilton in both 2013 and 2014.

Trouble is, in 2012, the Schumacher that we saw was a washed up, 43 years old, way past his best Schumacher. He wasn't just a bit past his best; he was 10 years past his prime.

In my opinion, neither Rosberg or Hamilton could hold a candle to Schumacher when he was at his best from 1995-2002.

But Schumi never had a strong team mate able/allowed to battle him which means we will never how he would have handled intra-team battles.

LH has had the odd sulk but Nico and Alonso were justifiable villains.

LH has been a racer through and through - hard but fair. On the other hand Schumi's morals were his significant flaw.

While Schumacher never had a "strong" team mate, he did have several seasons in the second best car that was much slower than the pace setting Williams/McLaren and he still won multiple races and challenged for the title. This was especially the case in 97 and 98 when he won 11 races, none of which where in the best car. This makes up for not having a team mate on his level because instead he was competing against faster, Adrian Newey designed cars.

Also, the whole "not allowed to challenge him" is a fabrication of the actual truth which is that Ferrari backed the fastest driver and that was always Schumacher. You can see Eddie Irvine confirm that here - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x151ndi_f1-legend...

Irvine always came accross as a straight talking guy and I don't think he would just make up those kinds of things to hide the "true agenda". Schumacher was simply quicker, so he got the team's backing.

What I think most people other than blind Schumacher haters will agree on is that in 2012, he was pretty well matched with Rosberg and it was very close, just as Rosberg has been close to Hamilton in the past two seasons. But as I've already said, Schumacher was 10 years past his best in 2012 and despite that he was still close to Rosberg, who is close to Hamilton.

It's my belief that if Rosberg or Hamilton were put into a time machine and were Schumacher's teammate in 1996, neither of them would've been close to him.

We do know how he handled them. He beat them before they even got in the car. Thing is, he'd never have been able to do this if he wasn't delivering on track. If Irvine or Barichello or Massa or any of his Bennetton team mates were pootling around at 8 tenths just to keep behind him the team wouldn't have entertained demands for such preferential treatment.

That last sentence MAY be true, but I have no doubt the only two drivers on the grid that would have a chance against schumacher in his prime, would be Lewis and Fernando. The others may aswel not have turned up.

Oh come on. for someone who finds a context to present schumachers 93-49 mauling at the hands of rosberg, for a fleeting moment, as favourable to schumacher I expected something a little more droll...

And if I were seeking an electrician, I would probably go for someone with a much more professional looking website. Then again, I probably wouldn't find your website in the first place seen as how it does so poorly in Google's search results. Perhaps if you spent less time leaving troll posts about F1's most successful driver of all time (and nothing you say can change that) you would perhaps see better results.

The thing is... as we all now know, if we read other threads, Jenson outscored Lewis (on aggregate) in the same car during the three year period they were together so it is my honest contention... no wait for it... Jenson Button is the only driver in recent years who would have matched Schumacher and even beaten him in the same car head to head.

Ron Dennis what are you doing you idiot, you've got the next Schuie in your car and you want to sack him!

How's that? bowtie

If you have no need to remind me, why are you in fact reminding me? You speak like posting on an Internet message board for over a decade and amassing over 30,000 posts is something to be proud of.

Let me get this straight... You disagree with hairyben, but decide to go stalky and slag off his website? You are not going to enjoy it here, sweetheart.

Schumacher was awesome. He definitely 'phoned in' his talent in later races. But his record is not without flaws.

Look at both of hairyben's replies to my comments. I was merly presenting my opinion with regards to Schumacher, to which he replied two times, both of which were troll-bait and nonsensical. Leaving posts like that is begging for such a reply, so he got one.
