Top job. Still cant get my head round what people paid for crap! Even the boxing memorabilia was massively over the odds, I had a look at the cost from a respectable source online and people paid much higher than retail from those sources, never mind what you can get them for privately.

I've put in a few bids on some kit for tomorrow, but I doubt i'll even match the opening bid based on todays shenanigans.
It was crazy wasn't it! I mean people can't just want that stuff to stick on the wall can they?

I have Webbers rear clam in the stores.... I seriously think we need to have an auction because we can't actually make enough money building cars with it if it's worth anything like the stuff today! LOL

I've given busted CWP sets to a hotel owner near the 'ring and he had that mounted on proper plaques for display in the bar, so I guess they do. biggrin

I've junked gears from Hunts Hesketh and McLaren, I bet someone would buy that rubbish for top £ based on today. Maybe this is a new way to go historic racing, use it, kill it, then sell it for a profit. biggrin

biggrin New it's £230 but once it's fked to pieces and turned blue it's £550 - because pedigree race car wink

I'm off to rock in a corner now and think about all the bits of bodywork, floors, knackered bits of exhaust, out of date carbon, lifed brake bits and crack test failed wheels we've shredded over the past five years..... probably turned 250K into dust!

...........................and someone is going to buy a measuring table without realising what they weigh!
A friend of mine was trying buying a large surface plate recently 10'x5'(5 tonne),cost £2k to move 30 miles, at least the smaller tables are movable by fork truck, as for the big ones....

They are pretty irritating, but they seem to be doing the job selling this stuff

From the administrators point of view they have done a great job of extracting value..

I'll be interested how many web bids dint get paid when they Google and see they could have paid less.
