Based on the prices being reached I'm going to auction everything we have and retire! £3K for gearbox tooling, we have 35 sets!
Stick lots of Marussia stickers on them first though, or maybe Caterham if they can't find a buyer!

I have to agree, my F1 wheel coffee table has just become my new pension fund...

It's all Minardi, Williams and Honda so surely those names will do!

They all scored more than two championship points though. Doesn't count. wink

Maybe not the done thing, but you don't have anything cool/titanium/techy for sale that could sit on my desk and look pretty do you? Looks like I'm not going to have any fun with this auction unless a rich aunt dies before they've finished (quite possible at the speed they're going).

There was a bargain for one lot of unbranded cases, then some idiot paid well over retail for the next lot immediately after that.

Has anyone bought anything yet?

I was going to apply to bid however seeing as they only want payment by wire transfer I decided not to bother.

I did want one of the team pit lane helmets & a team shirt as a memento so I guess it's off to eBay later on tonight!!

One thing I saw when browsing the catalogue were the signed boxing gloves & football shirts. Were these also from Marussia or were they consigned by someone else?

If anyone has bought any helmets, wheels or memorabilia that they don't want (I mean who wants 300 baseball caps!!!) please drop me a PM.

Reception car was pukka. Could be a runner again without too much effort (assuming you scored the gearbox as well). The pit stop car which went next is the best one. Currently a plastic show car with a GRP tub going for £23k.... now that is just stupid!

cant see the feed any more frown

some of these are possible bargains for the prospective hill climb car or track car for someone with money.

agreed most stuff seems to be selling well above what its actually worth!!

£15,000 for the first nose cone and wing but then only £1400 for the wing itself!

Indeed! But the kit to actually run them in a car is a bit more expensive!

250+ wheels spare. All ours are crack tested and ready for use though, not sure how many scrap ones we have.
