I like people who are intolerant of bullsh## and aren't afraid to speak out when they see something wrong. It means they have standards and morals. Since the corporate world is full of flim flam artists and anodyne, slopey shouldered, spineless wonders who make careers out of making noise, but saying nothing, then someone like Hartstein being willing to give their opinion and insight is fantastic.
Absolutely spot on. beer
yes I'd be inclined to agree..
That goes for me too. beer

I have followed his blog for some time. I have found it fascinating. I have found it not only educational but also stimulating.

Its sad that we normally educate ourselves about a condition when a celebrity gets it. Be it Beckham's foot or Jade Goodey's cancer or Schumacher's head injury. It may be insensitive to the relatives but its an important public service that celebrities provide.

He has explained things beautifully.
Yes it may be a bit bleak at times. But that's the nature of neurosurgery.
If you don't like that then go and read another blog about something fluffy!

I completely agree with the above comments about people being outspoken.
Will be interesting to see this one pan out.

I almost hope I goes to court. The things that could come out in evidence.....

I'd also agree with this, content like this is great, no bullsh** to the point, telling it as it is.
OK it might be a bit blunt for some people but it's explaining things we'd not otherwise have any knowledge of in a concise way.

While we are on this subject just what exactly does Jean Todt do? The whole FIA thing needs a big shake up, starting at the top.

Agree with all the above ...& the family/families wont find it insensitive at all, as they will have had a far worse conversation with the actual doctors/ surgeons involved

The only people who may find it insensitive, will be fans ...& only those who've never experienced dealing with medical professionals in similar circumstances (i.e ITU/ICU)

Inclined to agree with the views on here about him being outspoken, and irrespective as to whether his views and opinions on Schumachers medical diagnosis are incorrect or not they have actually probably taken a lot of pressure off the family, as fans will understand the issues and therefore why the family do not wish to comment.

One thing that combined expert opinion agreed on, except this a hole, was that is was impossible to give an opinion without seeing the imaging.

BBB seemed to be his strategy throughout.

I seem to recall that virtually every blog post of his made it clear he couldn't speak about Schumacher's specific condition as he didn't have access to the medical data. He made it clear he was speaking generally, based on his experience and information gleaned from colleagues in the appropriate field.
