Another new McLaren promo video

They do seem to be pushing the red and white colours, and that might be a drawing of the 2015 nose.

Front wing would suggest it's an MP4/4

McLaren-Honda F1 2015 concept livery

That's brilliant.

So Mclaren won't do it...
Disagree, too fussy IMO.

The front wing on MP4/4 was never that complex.

hmm car maybe but livery I dont feel it, not with the Day-Glo wheel trims too ... it had such potential being a blank canvas too... strangely the team gear and even transporter truck livery were better then the car imho!

compared to the treatment Williams have give the Martini branding on a predominately white car too... for me Sauber do a lovely job with no major sponsorship...

For me Saubers looked best back in the late 90s/ early 00s with the blue, turquoise and yellow livery. F1 needs a splash of colour - too many teams going for whites, blacks and greys.

2004 was a good year. Renault were blue and yellow, Jordan were yellow, Jaguar were green, Sauber were turquoise, Ferrari were red... every car was unique and distinct.

Agreed, love'd the Jordans!!!

Think maybe the difficulty in finding sponsorship early is preventing teams coming up with distinctive liveries for fear of alienating potential backers...

Always surprised me with the sponsorship they had that Red Bull never bought Sauber. Agree that the blue/turqoise livery was great though, sadly that's another sponsor that went to a bigger team (Petronas)

97 Jordan livery will always be my favourite, the Snake nosecone and the whole sleek looking design of the car just worked perfectly. Shame they had to drivers I could never tolerate.

And the real thing

Mind 90s F1 cars did look the business. Yes I am probably saying that as its the era I grew up with, but so what?

Agreed. They're right at the sweet spot where the aero adds to how good they look rather than detract from it like some of the early 00's cars.

Though these stupid wings can be ignored....
