Just read on F1technical that the cooling in an interim setup to allow lots of running at the test.

The coolers are fed by it - allowing smaller sidepods

It looks compact and angular in a way that the old Stewart from 1999 or the Arrows from 2000/01 did which is nice. F1 cars look far too long nowadays.

I was in the Toro Rosso garage at Jerez both Sunday and yesterday so was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend some time studying this car up close and personal - I can safely say that photos do not do it justice, it is absolutely stunning in the flesh. The packaging around the sidepods and back end, especially, is super aggressive. Interestingly, within STR they are calling this launch spec car "the fat one", as the final configuration that they intend to run at Melbourne is even skinnier still - they've left this one "fat" so as to not waste valuable testing time with reliability issues and/or putting out bodywork fires! Speaking to Franz Tost I expressed just how impressed I was with the looks of the thing, to which he replied "...a car is only beautiful if it's winning races!". That seems a fair enough assessment to me!

It's got two apertures. One for air into the engine, the other for power unit cooling, I would guess.
