There would be a certain irony if Force India were to apply to run their 2014 car in a similar manor (pun intended biggrin) to Marussia.

I might have missed this, but why can't Perez or Hulk drive the test if their test driver has been nicked?

I have heard a couple of comments recently that Force India, like Marussia are running an adapted version of last years tub.

Whats is adapted on the tub and how is it adapted? What does it mean for this thread? Is there still a 2015 Force India tub around somewhere to be introduced at some point?

I'd be very surprised if a few teams aren't using an adapted tub from last season to be honest. Even Mercedes.

All sorts of things could be modified - engine or suspension mounting points, shape of the floor, how the front nose attaches, tea tray, packaging changes for ERS batteries, radiator mounts, roll hoop & air inlet area.. you could change quite a lot really.

In all truth I would suspect most teams took last years tub and made changes as necessary, rather than a clean sheet design. The regs didn't change too much - the biggest area was the front end to get rid of the willy noses.

No wonder F1 is so flippin' expensive.. I'd also say with the amount of cost / material usage & wastage, we can pretty much forget the little V6 engines are making F1 'Green' in any way. smile

Haha.. So very true.. I was going to say Rosberg is sucking in all the oxygen with his post-race moaning but perhaps that's a touch harsh biggrin
