Marussia/Manor to exit administration

Because they could finish developing the car they already started and launch it for mid season and then by next season have a competitive package potentially.
Plus it'll give gainful employment for a number of unemployed talented engineers which to my mind can only be a good thing assuming they have the backing to be sustainable.
And if they got a point again at a random Monaco-esque style race, it would be wonderful.Plus it'll give gainful employment for a number of unemployed talented engineers which to my mind can only be a good thing assuming they have the backing to be sustainable.

Why does everyone forget that Red Bull also voted against?
As I read the press releases FI were the first to vote no and all the other teams didn't bother to votes as it needed a 100% yes vote..................
30 years ago John Booth was a butcher that raced in FF2000 - now he has been in F1 as a team owner.
He entered F1 with the promise of a budget cap that didn't happen.
I wish well and hope he does get back into F1.

Sky reporting that the deal is done and Manor F1.
"Marussia have finalised a deal which will see the team come out of administration with the aim of returning to the 2015 grid in the guise of Manor F1."
It would be highly entertaining of they turned up at the 3rd test with a car that complies with 2015 Regs and Force India didn't! I know it won't happen but we can dream."Marussia have finalised a deal which will see the team come out of administration with the aim of returning to the 2015 grid in the guise of Manor F1."

If I had to choose between Manor F1 and Force India to be there at the season finale, I'd pick Manor F1.suffolk009 said:

Manor will also need some staff, because most of their old staff are redistributed through the pit lane.
I'd not read anywhere that Red Bull voted against.Manor will also need some staff, because most of their old staff are redistributed through the pit lane.

Is Max Chilton available for some races?
I know he is in USA now, but must have some spare time.
He seems to be doing alright http://www.motorsport.com/indylights/news/winterfe...I know he is in USA now, but must have some spare time.

Manor/Marussia never worked with backing from Virgin or Marussia - now with ??? backing them, all of a sudden it will? With no car, no team and the fact that all the suppliers have already had their fingers burned dealing with them?
I really don't understand why people are so keen to see the team that put so many people through the ringer back on an even flimsier pretext than before.
And Force India are the bad guys for pointing that out and taking a stand?
People mock the fact that their own chassis is late - that's because suppliers have been dealing with 2 big customers not paying them then going bust... The knock on is that it's delaying Force India's new car, and reportedly other teams in other series waiting for components too - of course they're not happy about it or desperately keen to see the cause of their issues welcomed back! Especially when the bid is so lacking in substance.
Whilst I am aware they never had backing from Virgin my undertanding was they did have backing from the owner of Marussia, although it appears that the backing was in the form of loans rather than sponsorship. I understood that when he got bored he recalled the loans and hey presto down they went.I really don't understand why people are so keen to see the team that put so many people through the ringer back on an even flimsier pretext than before.

If you look at the creditors list http://formulaspy.com/formula-1/formula-1-news/mar... whilst they owed 30 mill euro, 16 mill was owed to Ferrari, and 7 mill to McLaren, Pirelli were owed 1 mill there are then 3 creditors owed between 600000 and 700000 euros 14 owed betweem 100,000 and 400,000 euros, and countless under 100,000. mind you not sure why those figures would be in Euros not sterling.
Whilst I accept that no one wants to take a large hit from a company going into adminstration, most of those on the list can probably afford it, and of course we dont't know the size of the company etc.
I suspect part of the problem Force India have is that it appears that their majpr shareholders, who in a number of cases are also major shareholders/owners of their sponsors, seem to have significant money troubles of their own.
People are inclined to feel sorry for Marussia/Manor as they entered F1 expecting costs controls, which not only didnt happen, but costs rose significantly with the new engines. They also had 2 unlucky accidents involving their drivers. The result is people feel sympanthetic to them.
In the meantime FI who complain about the treatment of small teams put the boot in when they could, in spite of an appearance they might of been living in a glass house.

I'm sorry, this is PH. We don't allow the truth to get in the way of a good story.
