Fantastic way to start the season, thank you Pistonheads, sadly I don't think tv at home will cut it any more!
Brilliant job!

Other than the alarm at some time that I was pretty sure didn't exist on a Sunday morning, I really enjoyed this morning.

Thank you to all the PH chaps for organising along with the team at Mercedes Benz World who also had to get up at some ungodly hour for our benefit.

Good result to the first race, and some interesting insights from MBW.

Until next time...

I missed the introduction of the resident mc/expert, who I thought was excellent.. What was his name please?

Awesome, just awesome. Thanks so much to everyone who made it happen and got up at what is frankly a stupid time on a Sunday.

And finally trying out the free Pact Coffee and Breweing System. Apple Crumble flavour coffee is actually very good!

Great start to the day, bacon butties, coffee and F1. (Decent gifts too). Great race, great winner and Schwartzenegger too! In fact I'm still here waiting to go into the Brooklands museum before I give the Scoob a spanking back up North smile

2:30 start - pah! I set off yesterday...

A really big thanks to PH, Nathan and MBW for a most excellent morning. The brew from the goodie bag is also excellent wink. Or at least makes me be awake as I type this hehe.

And very big thanks also to the MBW lady that had to wake up really early and the gentleman doing the commentary. It's true, he's an expert!

Huge thanks to all who contributed, especially Nathan, Hayley and the team at MB world and Chris(?) who added value with his commentary. The whole event was just what was needed to kickstart the 2015 season and I greatly appreciated the chance to attend. Sleep now, maybe a couple of pics later.

Cracking event guys, a great way to start the 2015 F1 season, despite the ungodly hour wink

A special thanks to all those non-F1 fans behind the scenes who also gave up their lie ins - above and beyond I'd say

Thanks massively to all concerned, that was a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a damp Sunday morning, with a fitting result on track.

A perfect Mother's day present in the party bag, too. wink

Seems all you chaps had a great morning and thoroughly enjoyed the "great race" while those on the P'Heads 'official race thread' have done nothing but moan about it laugh

I also had a great morning. MB World was a great venue and the resident expert the cherry on the cake, not entirely sure it was a great race mind you.

Brilliant event. Thanks MBW for your hospitatlity and the extra comentary during the race. Have to say those snacks sent round about half way through were a well timed. Was just starting to struggle after the early wake up.

Thanks to all the Pistonheads guys as well. great event, hopefully the first of many like this.

Now to brew some of the coffee to keep me awake at work....

Danny smile

He did an interesting tour around MBW afterwards too.

Funnily enough though when he left, went and got into a M5! Would have thought Merc guy would drive a Merc smile

Was a very good morning, thanks to all for organising. Would definitely be up for another!

ETA: Just tried it and the apple crumble coffee is nice!

Thanks to all at PH, Mercedes Benz World, Pact and Bounce for the day, the set up was fantastic, and made the race much less dull than it actually was. Was great to wander round MBW after with nobody else about. I hope this opportunity comes up again, as wouldn't mind a not so early wake up call on a Sunday!

Thanks to everyone at PH for organising yesterday's event. It was genuinely fun, although it would have been better if (a) Lewis had had a teeny bit more competition (b) my eyelids hadn't started drooping after 45 minutes. An excellent way to watch a race though, and Danny's input was much appreciated.

As well as the much-needed coffee and bacon sandwiches, it was great to be able to wander round some of the priceless cars (though I still wonder what the point of the CLK-GTR convertible is?) without crowds or noise, so many thanks to Mercedes Benz World for that. Honourable mentions also to Bounce for the curiously moreish energy balls, Pact Coffee for some very superior coffee, and Autosport for providing me with reading materials for the bookshelf in one of the smaller rooms in the house!

Cheers!

Couldn't agree more, thanks PH and to the suppliers it was a fantastic morning.
