The mrs and I are going, camping in the green area, we've hired a motor home. We should get there midday on Thursday.
Looking forward to it, some friends who are also coming with us have been before and loved the madness of it all and close proximity to the track.

In my experience the traffic back to Calais is horrendous on Sunday evening following the race.

I ended up on the Eurostar at something like 1am.

What's the best way there from Dunkirk?, past Bruges and Brussels or the south side Lille and Namur?
I've not driven that area so don't know of any bad congestion areas.

We'll see you there.

Me too! I'll be with an Aston and an Exige.

I haven't booked the crossing yet though - is the Chunnel going to be slow? Would rather take the train than the ferry but not sure on any delays?

One tip that's worth sharing, is to take a little digging device! Small garden tool, or whatever to dig yourself a seat in the bank, a bum sized hole, and feet holes, we ended up using large stones! And if you plan on sitting on the bank to view the cars coming up the hill take some shoes with some grippy tread, the amount of people who went for a slide was a joke, but really funny to watch.

I'm going...staying in ththe green camp site. Looking for a bit more atmosphere than the elephant which is which I stayed in 2013. Nothing wrong with elephant, just a tad quiet and a good 20 min walk to circuit.

4 of us going in my mates freelander.

I'm going with my 15 yr old son, it's our first time at Spa F1, I was thinking of getting the GA tickets, any one know if you get a good enough view with those? I have driven at the circuit on a trackday, bu.t never been a spectator, any viewing tips greatully received!! I'm staying at Hockai so I'm wondering what the drive to the circuit is like and can you park there??

Spa is superb for general entry tickets I though - many many viewing opportunities - much of the track is down below the viewing areas so plenty of opportunities.

I'd recommend GA as you can get right round the circuit and watch from plenty of places!

The only downside to Spa is the fewer number of laps than most other circuits.

I'm travelling by eurotunnel, are there any outlets on route I can stop and stock up on local (belgium) beer by the crate load? I don't really want to deter off route as we need to get to Calais to Spa ASAP so we make the pit lane walkabout on Thursday.

Hopefully the traffic near Calais won't be as crap as it was last year, you know the bit where the French dug up the east bound A16 and put in a contra flow then buggered off on holiday grrrr

My Daughter and I are taking our Maserati over on the Wednesday evening ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam, we are staying in the La Forge hotel in Malmedy and if you see a black Maserati GranTurismo with BUF on the numberplate, that will be us. I am not planning to park it at the circuit because we will be getting a shuttle bus from the hotel.
Starting to get excited now. smile

Not long now.
I've got the 6am crossing from Dover to Dunkirk thursday morning, still none the wiser on which route to go,so probably stick with tom tom.
Have to stack up on beer, food and ear plugs on the way for the green campsite. I guess any hypermarket on the way will do.
Looking forward to it now, hope the weather is kind to us.

Avoid Brussels at all costs, even if the TomTom says it'll take longer. It's always bad for traffic there, and you can easily lose an hour in traffic there.

Have a great time all!
