He won't see out the season.

He hasn't got the temperament. Or ability.

Wrong, wrong and wrong. He's certainly good enough.

But I think he'll win nowt because the car, as ever, will be found to be a dog. It will be too slow, for a variety of reasons.

We'll find that the wheels are, like all things on the Panda, squircles rather than round. The floor will inadvertantly have been made of Milka chocolate rather than carbon fibre, the wind tunnel's motor will turn out to have come from a Dyson, penguins will invade Maranello........whatever you can think of, and more, will crop up. And Ferrari will (yet) have another horrific year.

I think it all comes down to what sort of car Ferrari manage to produce. Both Ferrari drivers seem to be quick in cars they like but rather average in a cars they don't so I think there's four possibilities:

(1) Ferrari fail to produce a competetive car for him in which case he obviously wont;
(2) Ferrari produce a fundementally good car but he doens't like it, in which case he also wont;
(3) Ferrari produce a good car which he does like and Kimi doesn't, in which case he will;
(4) Ferrari produce a good car which both drivers like, in which case I haven't a clue who'll come out on top.

On balance I think it most likely that he wont win another title but writing him off completely would be crazy.

I've voted yes, which I am certain is the case. As long as Ferrari give him the best car on the grid, as usual.

Vettel obviously has the ability to win another WDC, as did/does Alonso who had the Ferrari drive before him, the question is whether Ferrari will be able to build a car to match the Mercedes and Red Bull.

Unfortunately the car/engine combination is far and away the most important factor in today's F1, Max Chilton would have won races in last season's Mercedes yet Ayton Senna in his prime wouldn't have won a race in last year's McLaren.

Vettel doesn't have the ability to be a WDC? Really?

As always in these things, it comes down to the car. A decent enough car - then yes. Same for every other driver out there.

So far we know that Vettel is better than Sebastien Bourdais and Mark Webber but not as good as Daniel Ricciardo.

Suspect we'll also find out he's not as good as Raikkonen either given he seems to be a lot happier with the front end of the 2015 car so I've gone with No.

Not a chance.
He will struggle. Can't recall such an average driver having such a car advantage for so long as when he was at RBR.

All that finger waving turned a lot of people off him as we'll I think.

Anyone that's thinks he cant is simply mad. He has won 4 out of the last 5 titles with at times the best car certainly for the 2 not so much the other 2 being won at the last meeting.

He has a similar work ethic as Schumacher and im sure the same people said he would never win again when joining Ferrari after Benetton and look what happened. Vettle has the time to beat Schumachers record and im sure its a personal goal of his to do so.

If Vettel is that "average", does that makes Webber truly st?

IMO Webber lost the psychological battle with Vettel in 2010 (Turkey collision, spin in Korea) and combined with him getting on a bit age wise (he was 35 in 2011 FFS!) never recovered.

After that he won 1 GP at the end of 2011 after the title was long gone and 2 GPs in 2012. Hardly a good record with the best car on the grid no?

If Vettel's only average, Webber didn't even reach the dizzy heights of 'st'.......

I don't think he will, but that's more to do with Ferrari than him. With Hamilton/Rosberg in those mercedes and the amount of cash behind them I just dont think they can do it.

Possibly. But it is all about him having the right car. Might as well ask could Vettel win a WDC at Force India. Possibly. Could Button's talents win him a WDC at any team. Evidence says so if he has the right car. Nothing is impossible.

Riccardo drove well but will he have a title? No. He'll be another Coulthard, Irvine, Massa etc.
I think Ricciardo is better than the other drivers you mention, they were all decent number 2 drivers who's team mates won WDCs in the same car. Whether he will win a title depends upon whether Red Bull/Renault can make a better car than Mercedes et all, Mercedes raised the bar last year and with the engine regs as they are it will take a couple of seasons for the rest to be competitive again imo.

Funny, that's what I said about Lewis Hamilton after 2011.

You don't become a world champion by accident, let alone 4 times. In a row.

Vetted excelled when he had the (Newey designed) blown diffuser. When the diffuser wasn't so powerful he and Webber were very closely matched. Unless the blown diffuser is re-introduced, then I don't think he'll have an advantage over any Ferrari team-mate, even if Ferrari produce the best car. So I've voted no.
