Amazing when things aren't going his teams way again he pulls the Renault excuse out again, ok it probably is but just knuckle down and work through it

Anticipating that Mercedes will dominate again this season, Horner also called on the FIA to equalise engines to ensure more competition,

WTF how about equalising aero, dodgy tea trays, flexing wings when you were winning everything for 4 years instead you told everybody they had to do a better job!

just some quotes from sky...

“When we were winning, we were never winning with the advantage that they have,” he insisted. “Double diffusers were banned, exhausts were moved, flexible bodywork was prohibited, engine mapping mid-season was changed; anything was done. That wasn’t just unique to Red Bull.

“Is it healthy to have a situation? The FIA within the rules have an equalisation mechanism. Perhaps it’s something they need to have a look at.

“Mercedes, take nothing away from, they’ve done a super job: they’ve got a good car, a fantastic engine and they’ve got two very good drivers.

“The problem is the gap is so big. You end up with three-tier racing and I think that’s not healthy for Formula 1.”

Suck it up Horner and do a better job

Yep, suck it up Horner. Do a better job, it's a competition FFS, and you had a head start.

Not even a Mercedes fan, McLaren, Button, Hamilton, underdogs and young guns for me, but even Ferrari have manned up and knuckled down without crying to the FIA. About time the rest did or make way for manufacturers that ARE willing to nail the formula.

Go faster bhes smile

It is quite amusing to hear it from RB - especially after the "balls in the pool" comments a few years ago :-)

No team dominates for ever, it all comes and goes. Ferrari, then it looked like LH with McL but they dropped the ball and RB come in and won 4 straight. Now its Merc's turn.

They need to be moaning to Renault, its not Ferrari or Mercs fault they made a dog st engine!

The RB was competing with the others (except Merc). Merc have a fantastic package including the PU. The idea that their advantage is purely due to the PU is silly - they have shown they have the best chassis - DF and driveability etc. They are faster everywhere.

RB are just sore losers - the chassis may be great, but one of their problems was PU driveability which I believe they control - I may be wrong but i thought they do the ES and software rather than renault

Great. Sell the team to Hass and fk off Marko, with all your cronies. At least Mercedes aren't cheating in order to dominate, just doing the job properly.

Miserable, whining bd.

He does have a spectacularly short memory doesn't he?

"we don't think it's fair how they are winning, it was different when we were winning, blah, blah, blah"

Stop whining, shut your mouth and find a better engine.

I don't recall Ferrari or Williams moaning like this when their domination periods ended. All the talk was just of working harder and getting back to domination....rolleyes

Its a bit worrying that Bernie thinks Horner is the best person to take over from him when he retires.

Quite scary really. But Horner's posh enough and not such a baby now even with the ginger beard he's sporting. So maybe he could be both a team boss and FOM boss, so th 2 become 1?

Goodness me, Red Bull really are very poor losers.

If they want out, Renault are apparently keen to open their cheque book and buy a team.

Horner, you see that? That's Toto Wolff, Niki Lauda and Paddy Lowe showing you how to manage a team which is successful and popular with it. Suck it up you hypocrite.

People are bound to say it is sour grapes but Horner has been saying these engines were the wrong way to go before they even started racing with them last year.

Horner argument just doesnt hold water.

RB had an advantage very much equal to Mercedes, was it hungry 2011 when the Bulls could have given he rest a 1 min head start and would still have won the race? They had like 1.5 seconds in their pocket.

Merc are at least allowing its drivers to race, as opposed to RB's, Seb must win policy. Broken the special new front wing, don't worry have Mark's! Nothing like giving your drivers equal machinery hey Christian?

the reality is they just didn't put enough resources (I include Renault in that) into 2014 regs while they were cleaning up in 2013/14. Merc did, and hence you now have them.

Also for the point the the FIA banned parts when they were winning, remember FRIC's last year Christian, although you shot yourself in the foot with that one, as you were getting maybe more benefit from that than Merc!!

To be fair take a lesson from Ron. your in partnership with your engine guys, so suck it up, and have the arguments behind closed doors

...RedBull probably knew they'd blown it in mid to late 2013 as they consciously delayed the transfer of resources to the 2014 project in an effort to secure the 2013 championship, which they did.

Let's not forget that the power unit is one thing but the integration of the power unit is almost a completely seperate challenge requiring a lot of RB input. Whenever they're talking about 'drivability', 'reliability' or 'power', all of these things can have as much to do with the integration as the power unit itself.

Red Bull made their bed.

Mercedes meanwhile has built an engine and integrated it very successfully starting some time in mid 2013. It's really no surprise.

I think I do. Perhaps not as frequently as Horner, and I can't remember them being quite so whiney, but they moaned.
