It's looking like 20C and dry for the race at the moment but it does rain at short notice this time of year.

Perfect for the Merc boyz

They think it could be unusually hot on Sunday. Another hot race could help Ferrari take the fight to the improved Mercedes?

Nice to see the McHonda's improving. JB set a better time than FA, but we all know this isn't relative.

I didnt see it, but how many laps did each driver do?

Hot means 25C no where near Malaysia temps.

Am I the only person who got Sky HD just to get the F1 channel? Every race, quali and free practice all shown...
Nope, did exactly the same. Only downside (apart from paying for it) is the missus filling the sky box with the real housewives of (insert random US city here) and clogging up the planner.

Thank you! Hopefully by mid season they will be able to mix it up with the top 6!

P2 stopped due to Massa going off at the hairpin and stranding the car with front wing damage.

Yes, what was really interesting is that Kimi was still doing good lap times after 17-18 laps where as Rosberg had burned up his tyres after 12. It will be interesting to see what the strategy is during the race because if Ferrari can eek out the tyres for 20-22 laps they could potentially do one less pit stop...................... but the other issue is the big gap between the two tyres, nearly 2 secs a lap advantage on the softer compound. So if Ferrari do run the hard tyre for any length of time that could negate any pit stop advantage.

Were Alonso and Button both on the same tyres?

I'm beginning to think Fernando left that legendary 6/10ths in his desk at Ferrari.

Edited for terrible (but funny) spelling.

Alonso is either on different tyres or things are going to get septic very soon at McLaren!

Button 10th in P2.

Wait until the race to be sure, but - with a very disappointing start behind them, McLaren are clawing ground back.

It does look like they're starting to turn the wick up a bit now

Very good laugh

"He crossed the main straight shortly before a car, climbed the fence and ran into the pits before trying to enter Ferrari's garage. He is reported to have said he wanted to try a car, before being apprehended by security and handed to police."

Sunday looks damn exciting. Lewis will be on pole but Vettel looks good on option tyres.
