As I said, I have no problem with the BBC (or any other news outlet) revealing the results. All I ask is that they show the same courtesy to F1 fans as they do to football fans by giving a five second warning before they announce the result.

So will they have to do this for every minority sport? such as
rugby, triathlon, cricket, tennis, athletics, horse racing, moto gp amounst others. If they did, the news bulletin would take up a little more time!! We have to accept that football(which I hate) is just a little bit more popular than F1.

I still think it daft for a broadcaster to announce a sports result without warning when they are going to broadcast the event, live or otherwise, later that day.

It would be easy for them say "and now the sport, And in F1....".

Instead we get "Lewis Hamilton has...."

So popularity dictates manners and courtesy?

That's a strange way to decide how you treat your listeners or viewers.
