I will try to help on this one… When I have a little girl that is 4-5 I will take her to go-karts and we will see what she manages. Will start from a young age, that is a promise! Will she make it? smile
Better start saving then mate; from what was said on the BBC yesterday during FP2 some of the teams at the top of the Kart World Champs are budgeting around £500,000 a year silly

Nobody wants to see women in F1. It's not a sport for women. Simple. Most people will think it, few will say it.
Do you know what "most people" think?

If so, how did you find out?

There is absolutely no physical or mental reason why a women would not be able to succeed in F1. The biggest problem is accessibility.

Still in the 21st century we have this old fashion idea of what men and women should do and not do. Any female wanting to try a "macho" sport such as motor racing will have a hard time from the start, no one will take her seriously, no support, etc, etc just gives up and this form of "bullying" can start from an early age. I did kart racing when I was younger and a few woman racers were always frown upon... Sure they would race and finish mid pack but always someone had a patronising, condescending comment towards what they achieved, it's probably not nice when you are 10 years old... Certainly not confidence boosting. That is where the problem lies not in the physical strength or driving ability. Driving ability can be developed to 90% of the greats! Not all F1 drivers are "greats"

I would think it could be interesting to have female drivers but it will never happen until at root level this backward mentality changes.

And for the "racing drivers" in the forum, be careful not to loose your traffic light race to a girl.... Lol
