Even with all his titles, wealth, fame etc, one thing that stood out more than most was his appreciation for his family, and the sacrifices made by his father.

Excellent guy, deserves all the success on that alone.

Me and my brother used to race karts with him, we always seemed to end up in the same class or series, obviously he moved on onto bigger things where for us it was just a hobby as we were too old, we eventually moved to gearbox karts which he never did, if I ever bumped into him again somehow I'd ask him if he wanted a test in a proper kart with 6 gears

Apologies for the suspense, I got to meet him due to my patronage of Hugo Boss, and the rewards associated with that. Spend thousands and reap the rewards cool

Though to add I am a big fan, and didn't hesitate when invited. Love Mercedes AMG, ( miss my C63), met the guy who built my engine at Affalterbach, and looking forward to seeing Lewis win the title this season

Lewis stopped his car to say Hello to my g/son on his way out of Silverstone on Saturday last year. He went on the win the race.
He's just replied to this Instagram post.

Back in 1999 David Coulthard did the exactly same for my daughter, stopping his car at the same place to sign her autograph book. He also went on to win the race.

I'm sure you're right.. ☺
He got Lewis to sign the photo at Austin. It was a bit of a scrum to get to close at the autograph session, but Dylan threaded his way through legs to get to the front and got his prize.
His mom is brainwashing him, BGT & Monza for them this year.

I've met him a few times when he was with Mclaren and I was doing some work for them. He is really nice, but I have to say he is better off without Nicole Shirtlifter. She was an absolute bh and I think most of the team thought so.
