Probably Renault are twiddling their thumbs to see if either Red Bull team become available in the next week or two. That's my guess.

Good point. I had forgotten about their recent tantrums.

I must admit I'm a little lost on this now.

It looked like a done deal with Renault with the Judge even continually granting adjournments to see the deal through. And now we have Red Bull blurring the issue.

The last Court adjournment for the winding up petitions was until 7th December.

I guess we'll just have to wait till then to see whether we have a Lotus team by Christmas.

I wouldn't suprise me to see no Renault at all in F1 next year as either an engine or chassis constructor.

me too it's all gone eerily quiet hasn't it?

one moment it was supposed to be a dead cert- now there's renault-RB murmurs?

what are lotus going to use for an engine next year now they've lost the merc to manor? this alone is a "news item" for sure?

Or is it all quiet because deals are done but announcements can't be made yet?

I either read, or Brundle said (maybe both), that Renault are still negotiating historic payments with Bernie/FOM.

The implication is that Bernie is holding out because Renault are RedBulls only hope of a power unit for 2016. Renault, understandably, want the FOM money but want nothing to do with RedBull.
