This would presumably stop BBC coverage if it happened.
That would be the end of me watching F1 then!
It'll probably be the end of many watching F1; me included.

BBC coverage is woeful now they rent it from Sky.

On the other hand Sky have done an excellent job with it (I don't have Sky, not worth it just for F1), but I have seen it a few times enough to comment.

Remember when BBC used to run those Brundleesc type montages explaining how things like tyres worked in F1 etc. Now we get DC and Perry walking around chewing the fat!

You'd stop watching if Channel 4 gave you about 20 hours of live coverage per race weekend, access to 30 odd years of archives & classic races, mid week shows, support series etc... that was their idea when the BBC needed to offload their coverage in 2011, and it sounds damn fine to me.
Well no, but Channel hasn't been mentioned?

The premise was: would you watch if it wasn't on the BBC, yes/no? You said you wouldn't if it wasn't on the BBC, which indicated it was a BBC or nothing affair.
The premise to me was it's not on the BBC because it's now on Sky.

I just got off the phone with Sky with the intention of removing the movies but keeping the HD Pack (and therefore F1).

They told me I would NOT lose F1 if I remove the movies, but in the end I went for an offer to keep the movies with a discount and get a loyalty discount on the HD pack as well, so I'm effectively paying around £3 for the movies.

Ive just looked at TV Times, and there is no practice coverage for Friday British GP.

I thought BBC had live coverage this weekend.

Red button?

Internet?

I didn't think they intended to cover practice sessions.

Eric, early in the year live practices have been shown when BBC as had live coverage.

I think it may depend on what you change. I've just moved from BT to Sky for my phone/broadband, but I told them I would only do it, if it didn't change my current Sky TV package, which I took out when F1 moved to Sky and it came with the HD Package.

So now got the phone/broadband and kept F1. I would of stayed with BT if it meant having to get the full Sky sports to keep F1.

It was a shame when the BBC lost the full rights as the sport has lost a lot of viewers that although would watch a race, would never pay for it.
Like the football coverage, Sky have just moved the coverage up a gear, which the BBC can't really match now.

According to the Radio Times:

9.55-11.35 Coverage of the British Grand Prix Practice 1 available on the red button
1.55-3.35 Coverage of the British grand Prix Practice 2 available on the red button
