Well im up ready to go down there today, only have tickets for the friday this year and excited. Didnt get to go last year so not heard the new engines apart from on tv will be interesting to see the differences.

As for cost i do t think its too expensive, yes it highly priced but considering £300 will get you good seats for three days its far better value than going to most concerts which are at £75 for three hours entertainment tops.
Probably shouldn't go here as the last thread talking about value went off on a silly tangent, but if you're comparing with music events then wouldn't a festival be a better compare, whats that about £200 or so for your 3 days with the camping thrown in?

Hope you enjoyed the day!

Is there a fashion group on here that people can talk about who wears what, and leave the F1 section to the driving etc?!

If they're witterin on about lewis' dress at least they're not diluting grown up discussion... I'd say make a special thread for people to sob about lewis attire on but I doubt the attention spans concerned are up to finding it every time they need a little outburst.
Whereas you wittering on about haters is soooo grown up wink

I'm not a hater in any case, in fact he's my favourite driver and has been since '07. Doesn't mean his attire can't raise a chuckle from time to time. Didn't realise it was such a contentious issue on here tbh.
They get a bit prickly about any Lewis jokes.. Just a little.. Haha.
Funny as there are lots of jokes about other drivers, memes too, greeted by +1s and lols..

But anyway, back to the recent F1 boredom.

For the record, I have three grown kids - one of whom coincidentally is around the same age as Mr Hamilton - and he has assured me that Lewis looks a p**** in that picture. Out of the mouths of babes etc............
Or green eyed p**** of a father brings up a green eyed p**** of a son smile

As for the post count on the F1 threads, it's all this bickering like school girls about Hamilton that puts me off.

It appears that BBC TV are doing full coverage of the qualifying today, and the race tomorrow (as they jolly well should) but have they reduced their coverage of GP races planned for this season?

I'm asking this because certain races already run appeared to have been in highlights form only, rather than the full coverage that I thought I had seen listed some weeks ago. Have their plans been changed and the coverage reduced?

So, Kyvat has had his weetabix today. RB looking strong on the hards. I feel that Ferrari aren't going to be much of a challenge this weekend. It's going to be a Hamilton vs Rosberg straight fight.

That's the way its been since they entered this arrangement with Sky.

About half the races are shown live on BBC.

The remainder are shown in highlights format.

The same goes for qualifying.

All the races are shown live on Sky F1.

You may find the answer here. I would imagine the full coverage this weekend is because the BBC is the host broadcaster.

Have you just crawled out from under a rock? hehe

Been like this for a few years now.

Anyway, looks like Lewis has sorted his setup issues out.

Kvyat seems to have settled into the team now and he is starting to challenge Ricciardo a little bit more.

Ferrari haven't realistically been a regular challenger in the races this year.... only at 1 or 2 events where Merc have had issues. Although this weekend looks particularly bad so far as the practice times suggest Merc have huge gap in 1 lap pace, almost back to the same advantage they had at the start of the year / end of last year.

Williams appear to be nowhere, unless they are sandbagging.

I'm hoping Raikkonen carries is practice form into qualifying and beats Vettel. Also looking forward to see what Verstappen can do... he could split the Ferrari's if one of them has a slightly scruffy Q3 lap. And I think the 'off track limits' rule means somebody is going to run wide and have their best lap deleted and potentially get knocked out early.

I'm accustomed to the arrangement whereby some races have been shown in full by the BBC, and the rest have been given full coverage by Sky, so no, I haven't just crawled out from anywhere.

It's just that the BBC seem to be giving reduced coverage from what I thought I had seen scheduled earlier. Maybe I misread something.

Watch Suzi & BBC or Sky & Brundle

I am happy with Sky.
