A week to go and no thread? To me this perfectly sums up the state of F1 at the moment. With the coverage issues and the tyre/fuel/whatever management F1 is now at a lower stage than during the dominant MS years

As it's our home GP it's live on BBC, and, IMHO, Suzy is getting slightly better.

I would love to be at Silverstone but am no longer prepared to pay the prices and tolerate the piss taking by Silverstone managementyes. For me the race is on Saturday with Quali, and with the home factor it has to be Lewis doesn't it?

The big question of course is if the McLarens will make it as far as 20 laps (that's combined BTWlaugh

Would love to see a Williams podiumyes

CBF going this year either. Too boring, and CBF spending £500 on 3 days in Milton Keynes again.

It looks like there may be rain, but forecasts this far away will not be reliable.

I will go next year as I've promised someone I will take them. Not looking forward to getting another mortgage to pay for the tickets mind.....

This year though, I am making sure I have no work to do that whole weekend and I will be watching the lot.

A Williams 4th.
Barring anything unforeseen, like crap pit crew / Raikkonen being daft.

Yep with red bull and torro rosso back of the top 10/ fi/saulber/lotus to run outside the points/ McLaren to both retire and manor trundle around at the back. Oh yea the same as pretty much all year.

I'll probably put a bet on for the winner. Probably with the bulk of funds on Hamilton, then a few quid scattered amongst the longer odds.

just for sts & giggles.

Anyone have any strong feelings other then Hamilton?

This will be a huge race for NR. He will be desperate to win and I can see him doing almost anything to do so.

Could be a good race...up front!

(Still think Hami will clinch it, possibly from 2nd on the grid)

Hamilton will give his very best, but NR will stay focused and clinch it - good news for spectators/viewers.

Hamilton will not finish second; well, not to Nico anyway. I've got a feeling he'll be in a win it or bin it kind of mood.

Alonso needs a complete new car for Silverstone, dread to think what his penalties will be, probably six drive throughs and has to start from Aylesbury.
What have I said about exaggeration, must have been 119,502 times now. Please.

I think Rosberg has a slight spring in his step after the last race and the testing he did (and a couple of runs up the Goodwood hill in an older car yesterday), could be on the top step.

Lewis will be strong on his home race though, so we could see quite a dual all weekend.

Looking for a good performance from both Ferrari drivers (who I'll be cheering on from Village on Sunday).

I am hopeful Lewis doesn't put too much pressure on himself and just casually takes Pole. Then wins.

Be nice if Jenson could complete a good 30 laps, who knows, maybe a few more...

I'm wondering if this will be JB's last British GP with McLaren? The team have Kevin and Stoffel on their books - and either would cost them much less money.

If McLaren simply do not turn for the remainder of the season....
