Now if only they had kept these prices all along I would never have stopped going. Looks like Silverstone are listening

Silverstone 2016 Prices

Still do yourself a favour though... Don't book parking. Instead use these guys

Have to say I'm tempted for the Saturday at that price

Are you serious? Even discounted, which is limited, they are still 2-3 times more expensive than other European races.

A covered grandstand seat is £340. Unbelievable.

I was looking at the three day for £120, sounds ok to me? Of course add on parking etc and it is going to be an expensive weekend... But still.

Friday is £40.

Saturday £60, not bad for F1 FP3, F1 Quali and a GP2, GP3 and Porsche race.

Grandstand prices for weekend are down on this year but the better ones are still rather expensive.

Couldn't you do Le Mans for that? Like, the whole two/three days?

Are there actually tickets left?

£340 sounds like madness to me.

WEC at the Nurburgring with parking is 100 euros. But taking into account the fees CVC charges then £120 is reasonable I think. Covered grandstand is a crazy price really.

Personally I'd rather support (and I do) Silverstone on other events.

I expect you'd have enough change for the Ferry too.

Are any of the races a sell out anymore? ultimately track owners will only want a race there if it's going to pay for itself.

Easily. Our most expensive le mans ever this year, and still under 450 quid a head. That's including all food and drink, petrol, tolls, camping, the works. Not bad for a 6 day trip fillled with awesome..

From £249, no?

Prices are far from cheap, but they don't seem markedly different from the last time I went to the British GP which must be a few years ago now. ie they've always been a rip off.

I've all but given up on F1 these days, partly because the costs simply aren't worth it any more. I started fanatically following the sport in the mid-80s. Attended the odd GP and ended up going to at least 2 a year for most of the 90s...interest petered away since then to the point I barely bother even watching it on TV.

I don't think anything is ever likely to compare to being a few feet from the track around Stavelot/Blanchimont at Spa when a Ferrari V12 came screaming out of the mist. Or even approaching the circuit and being able to feel the cars starting up from miles away.

Silverstone classic is coming up in a month or so, 3 day tickets are £114 (This includes historic F1 races and demos). I am not in the position to go to either but I know which I would choose wink

These were about £98 a few days ago for this year.

So, a couple of adults and kids in a grandstand + parking, food and fuel = a £1000 day out? Madness.

And what's 'Premium Grandstand'?

It also includes a concert by status quo, f1 have kaiser chiefs but is that included in your ticket?

So I could not see Status Quo and save nothing or not see the Kaiser Chiefs and save £38 - the latter sounds like good value laugh

I haven’t been to a British GP since it was at Brands but I still go to Spa very year - for a full weekend it’s much cheaper and more of an experience.

As above though the prices are mad compared to the full on joyfest that is Le Mans
