Looking like another boring one-stopper. A minimum mandated 2-stop regulation would help ensure that races at great circuits like Monaco, Canada and Monza are not so processional.

The controversy caused by VET's attemp at a one-stop 2-weeks ago should have been the right incentive to implement Pirelli's Prime 50%, Option 30% rules.

I shall be waiting for the BBC highlights show on Sunday. sleep
I don't agree that more pitstops make for less processional races, all that happens is during the pit stop windows the order gets slightly shuffled and one or two places change due to a car being stopped - that isn't exactly racing. It's been said before but how many people are sat outside KwikFit watching them change tyres?

Tyres that are just capable of lasting the whole race would be my preference, that is likely to lead to more changes as some drivers would decide to go for it in the early laps to gain track position but at the risk of less pace at the end whilst others could do the opposite. Or they could have a pit stop to change tyres if they wanted, but it would have to be done with only two people per wheel at most to make it take longer than currently making it have more effect on track position. The key is to put the racing, and passing, on the track not in the pits.

Yes I completely agree. I'd like to see a return to tyre wars with more than one manufacturer maybe three. Just make a tyre that can last the race. There should be an option of tyres during the year for different circuits but once you've chosen the tyre for a GP you can't change it.

Umm, you do realise what would happen with no pit stops during a race right?

A massive reduction on team costs...

Reduced tyre and shipping bills, less pit crew, etc etc.

Yes. They'd race without stopping. Used to do it beforehand.

This is why I support Nico, he's not as naturally gifted but (almost) makes up for it with analysis and plain hard work; personally I respect that. Lewis' driving is amazing to watch, but I think he's as much a passenger as the rest of us. Having said that it's quite cute how some weeks he sandbags and saves it all for Q3, other weeks he puts in a fast lap in FP and says there's more where that came from, forcing Nico into a mistake.

It's bound to weigh on Nico's mind after they work together for a while and share all their data; the problem is if he finds a step on the setup it will just be put on Lewis' car too.
You're massively underestimating Nico there, remember he is the only team mate that was allowed to give Micheal Schumacher a shoeing.

227 litres of fuel! I bet you could taste the exhaust on that BRM.
Did some quick calculations with a 190 mile British GP race distance, which was the distance this year.

If it used all the fuel (I know it doesn't, but it's just easier) it would be 3.8 miles per gallon.

Today with 100kg of fuel (approx 130 litres) it would be 7 mpg. Almost twice as efficient!

The drivers and cars would race, rather than the pit crews? Or did you mean something else?

Yes, I was thinking the same.

As does Fernando's lady friend!

I don't know how Jenson manages to do those interviews. Talk about gritted teeth and biting your tongue.

If Hamilton's engine goes the same way as Britney's tomorrow and Britney can't keep up then there could be one big party in Italy tomorrow evening!

Oddly enough I was just thinking the same thing especially if Kimi wins

I don't think Lewis will get engine trouble, it's been fine. Nico has had bugs since Friday.

It will be. Certain tracks will disappear for a year at most. It's all mind games with Bernie being the eventual winner
