Oh I think Lewis is going to Pole to Flag it..... It is not a circuit that the Mercs do badly at, nor him really....

Be interesting to see if the Williams have the pace and of course what the ponies will do to look good before the home crowd.

Agree that Lewis will likely win from pole, and I hope that Williams have learned from Spa and that they take some wing off the car.

Sad to read that Mr Ecclestone is apparently saying Monza won't be on next year's calendar.

I'm hoping that it more of Bernie's squeezing the promoters for every last penny as I'd be amazed if Ferrari would let their home GP be cut....

I think everyone is wise to the Honda BS now, so despite them saying they will be challenging the Ferraris they will actually be fighting to keep the Manor behind them. IF they finish. Which I doubt.

Other than that it will be Mercs 1 & 2. Hamilton Pole to Flag win.
Williams 3&4, Ferrari 5&6. With the rest being fought over by Lotus, RedBull and ForceIndia.

If they make it to the track, and have enough parts to start the race (are you listening, Pastor) then they could be pretty good., top 6?

oh well, was gloriously sunny at Silverstone. Typical, was hoping to wear shorts and flip flops to Monza. Looks like I'll have to pack my brolly and rain coat.

1. I reckon Bernie controls the Met Office - rain is always 5 days away on a Grand Prix weekend but almost never comes.

2. Monza is perhaps the worst place to have a wet race - so narrow the drivers can't see where they're going and it's all about braking and traction so a driver can't make as much of a difference compared to a more twisty track.

I suppose at least actual rain might upset the usual Merc 1,2.
