How good is Wehrlein? I'd heard about him being well thought of but just looked up his previous results and while they are good don't exactly look glittering to me.

When are the next car launches?

Or are they all keeping their powder dry until the first test in a few weeks?

According to some he is the second coming. I've not seen anything to back that up. A very good driver but nothing exceptional

I wasn't impressed with him at last year's DTM round at Zandvoort, but that may have been masked by BMW's strong showing at that circuit.

You need to broaden what you read about F1
https://joesaward.wordpress.com/2016/02/10/manor-l...

Reporter A might sit in his bedroom searching the net and hypothesising; reporter B goes to every GP and speaks to the movers and shakers and has an address book and so can call people in the know from time to time.

It is how journalism used to work before the Internet.

I've read his blog since 2014 your lordship.

Perhaps you should broaden what assumptions you make about peoples reading habits....

And Joe is an excellent journalist. His article about Eddie J is pretty funny.

I didn't know about that blog, thank you very much John!

I've had a read of a few articles already, it seems really good, no nonsense kind of style.

...but you claim that no one had told you. Joe chooses his words carefully, but he was quite emphatic why he thought Lewis would have a new partner in 2017, only recently telling us that where he uses the term 'I hear" that really means "he was told by someone who knows."

Look up his occasional podcast as well "an aside with Joe". Very dry sense of humour.

Mercedes want a German driver to win with them and they know they are not going to be top dog for much longer, probably. They know Rosberg is not good enough to beat Hamilton, so that leaves two choices; get rid of Hamilton, or get rid of Rosberg and replace with a German who can beat him.
