Had he done this and said "My answer is, 'I make my living driving race cars at 150mph+ whilst adjusting brake balance and talking to my pit crew every day. I think I can manage to take a selfie on a mobile sofa...'" then he would have seemed irresponsibly cool and Hunt-esque.
Instead he just sulks like a petulant baby. Close, but no cigar.
PS - I did the same as him riding a Vespa in Holland once but never got pulled up for it by a journo

Well Lewis wants to be a role model for dudes and has actually stated that. If you say that, and then decide to put your life online to show it to everybody. a)accept that if you are trying to be cool, you're not cool.
b)STOP putting your life online. Live it, don't show it off to prove how cool you are.

I can't see how anyone can disagree with this. Using your phone while riding or driving anything is stupid and dangerous, the fact that lots of people do it isn't an excuse.

It's funny. I'm an avid F1 fan. I can remember the years for Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Hakkinen, Vettel. I have to double check in my mind Hamilton's WDC victories. And I'm a fan of his generally. No idea why. Probably senility.longblackcoat said:

That's not how I read that post at all. I read it that were Hamilton not to document every aspect of this life on Social Media then, rather than fixating on his off-track gaffes, people would concentrate more on his on-track achievements. Mental.
