Renault forgot to come up with a livery.
I like it, simple and clean. If it is a test car livery, that matt black rear end on the gloss black car is nice!

We know when the team wins it is the car and when it loses it is the engine. That is why we had to come in as a full team.
I see Helmut has also been sticking the boot in again recently, if I was in PR at Renault I'd issue a statement saying we don't know what they are talking about, they have a TAG Heuer engine...

Ok so it's definately an interim/testing livery as (managing director) Cyril Abiteboul said they will reveal the race livery closer to the Australian GP.
Probably because HAAS are expected to be yellow and Renault want to see what that looks like so that the designs don't end up being too similar. Speed Badger said:

It was not a 2016 car, that has yet to be built because of the late switch in engine. This was only a promotional exercise, trying to get everyone onboard.

Pascal Wehrlein gets a seat at Manor. I wonder who'll get the other one?
A trusted source told me they'd signed him a couple of weeks ago - I wonder why it took so long to get out? Will Stevens is still trying to raise the increased budget and Maldonado is presumably camped out at their front door? That same source told me that the second seat can be secured for US%15m - a chunk less that Maldonado was paying at Enstone.

Hasn't the latter publicly announced that Manor is effectively 'beneath him'?? rubystone said:

Stevens better hope he can't raise the budget - it will be embarrassing watching him get annihilated by Wehrlein. But Maldonado doesn't have any budget. Venezuala's economy is in a terrible state. Will Stevens is still trying to raise the increased budget and Maldonado is presumably camped out at their front door? Even more embarrassing that he was being annihilated by Alexander Rossi - who competed in the latter third of the season - and not even a trumped up driver a la Werhlein. Is it really a great move for a touted top driver to be taking a Manor seat? The guy has zero chance of displaying his talents in that car.....A couple of dodgy mistakes that would be quickly wiped out by good results in a better team will be the only memorable moments of a Manor season.

not so sure, they could well have a half-decent car this year, in the same way Hass might well have a better car than WilliamsVolvoT5 said:

I think it's more the "work experience" that is useful; how an F1 team operates on raceday, procedures, timetables etc. It didn't do Daniel Ricciardo any harm to do a half-season at HRT some years ago. Also how a potentially great driver measures against a pay-driver is very important for the future.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
