So £25 to go see the testing at Silverstone.

So that could make it a £100+ day for me, when there could literally be no track action..
That was 2 years ago in that link, I went and it wasnt a bad day to be honest with a half decent amount of action. And I got to walk the pits smile

That is a bit steep, Barcelona (arguably a much more interesting track with many many more vantage points where you can get pretty close to the cars , & less chance to freeze/be rained on ) was 10 or 15€ if I remember correctly ( the reason for not remembering being that my Race ticket also got me free entry to all the test days including the post race test, living 45 min from the circuit that was a very good deal for me )

Lets hope that was last years engine.
last years everything.

rule of the test, nothing 2016
I'd say both McLaren and Honda cannot wait to see the end of that car/engine. Can't see it being in the foyer at McLaren HQ, most likely shoved down into some basement, or the lake out front. Still 2016 is likely to see improvement, sure it could hardly be worse.
Anyone care to photo shop it into the lake

biggrin

Not particularly. biggrin I did it during a race in limited time before the conversation on Twitter moved past that subject. The writing isn't suitably yaw adjusted, there's a small bit of magic wand excess on the front wing and i could've chosen a better concrete base for the platform than just a grey circle. Yet it's to a standard where i can't be bothered to redo it.

Watch this space, i've just had another idea which may or may not work. biggrin

I spent a whole hour on this one. It's not very good either but when i found the skip pic i just had to do something with it. I agree it should really be Alonso standing beside it, but i found a suitable head-orientation shot of Button first.

(There are so many artifacts on the Alonso pic that i had to cut it out manually which took blinkin ages!)

I imagine they got all the basic running checks done on the filming day rather that waste valuable testing time.

I really don't understand why everybody would not do the same.

For all the money apparently spent at Manor...they're still running the huge nose that every other team has ditched!

I'm sure at one stage last season the mercs started using 2016 season bits on their car because they where quite abit ahead of the pack, but after afew reliability issues, they took them back off.

I'd imagine today is about getting everything bedded in for them, then the performance will come.

Good to see McLaren at least in the pack with a good number of laps. Obviously it means little at this point but it's something

Which is so bad it's laughable.

Poor Ted doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.

I do wish they would employ an engineer for the testing programs at least.
