The McLaren sounds like it's blowing exhaust gas for aero purposes: Just a few years late! Mercedes sounds quite tasty, still on the fence for the others soundwise.

They sound better than last year to me, but they were fairly bad last year. Certainly not up to the standard of previous era's but a step in the right direction. I do wonder what they will sound like through the 'official' microphones we get for the TV broadcasts though.

I also think they sound better than last year.

The McLaren has a lot of misfire noise going on .. is that some kind of traction control?

Thought that was banned.

Testing isn't bound by rules, they can run whatever they want; even traction control. If it helps them discover more about their aero balance then why not? (I don't think it is TC though, just the way the Honda's exhaust works or something)

The McLaren sounds like its using a none symmetrical firing order, like they have done something funky with the crank design.
