I don't have an issue of advertising during a highlights package.

Not as if we're going to miss anything.....
Agreed

It did not help that the race was deathly dull. The quirk of it being a night race has worn off and it's just another street circuit with limited overtaking.

yup that ad break was big mistake , but the prog itself i thought was v good .
An ad break during a safety car period (BEFORE the pit lane was open) on an edited highlights show cannot be a big mistake.

Did you forget the ITV days?

Japan 2006 was it?

Who was it interviewing Hamilton at the end?

She stammered, stuttered and spluttered her way through that interview something terrible.

Now the Olympics/Paralympics have finished I expect Lee will be back for the next race.

Holly really did seem to be out of her comfort zone frown

Thread crossover, isn't it Holly Samos who used to be part of Chris Evans's Radio 1 Breakfast crew? Link to the Top Gear thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I think she does a good job overall. She used to be pit reporter for BBC 5Live

I thought the C4 coverage had really hit its stride with the "Great Wok Off". A sense of fun, the presenting team gelling and joking with each other. No Eddie Irvine. All good.

Still struggling with Steve Jones, he's nice enough and harmless but I just can't put my finger on why I just don't like him, his one liners are a bit cringe.

Anyone watch the Coulthard meets Horner interview after the qualifying yesterday? I thought it was a good chat and Horner came over well in it. I didn't realise how much Coulthard was an influence in the team when he was driving for them in the early RB days.

I thought that was the whole idea of Coulthard going to RB in the first place
