When are they going to promote Lee Mackenzie and give her more to do and more exposure? She has a great rapport with all the drivers and always asks the right questions.
I may be wrong but I thought that back in the BBC days she anchored one race and didn't enjoy it so doesn't want to move up? I'll go and have a google to see if I can find the details.Flooble said:

really like chanduk...sorry for spelling
Agreed, Karun Chandhok does a good job in the pit lane. There's something weird about his knees, though, it looks like they have been fitted to the wrong legs.Don't see that on SJ or DC ?

Why does he have the big aerial sticking out of his head.

I'd guess that he is fully mobile in the pitlane and therefore needs to be able to transmit / receive wherever he is.Don't see that on SJ or DC ?
DC and SJ are normally followed by a crew I'd guess.
FWIW, I really think that SKY needs to up its game when they control F1 on the box. Ant Davidson excepted, the who team just seem dreary, especially the woman who does the interviews. Lee Mckenzie works hard in framing a decent open question that the driver can work with, but then she is a journalist, rather than just another face.
The production and presentation skills of the C4 team are way ahead of SKY. Getting these qualities right will be difficult for Liberty when they push hard with online coverage. A US style production / presentation simply will not work on a global offering.

I have Sky F1 but had dish issues with one of the races.
It was one of the races C4 were covering. I thought it was abysmal and just couldn't watch it.
Everything just felt completely dumbed down for viewers with zero F1 knowledge and simply dull.
Just my opinion on the two and I prefer the way sky f1 is set up.
Anyone remember the original F1 channel on sky? I used to love how you could watch the race and have either a commentary style audio or you could listen to 2 or 3 of the pundits just chatting about the race and going off into stories. Used to really like that option.
There is a distinct lack of technical gubbins on C4. Obviously the BBC pushed out Anderson because in their mind "F1 isn't about technology"
Surprised Whisper haven't tried to get him or A N Other onscreen to help. Especially with the rule changes.
Oh and Chandok. I don't know what it is, but I cant warm to him. Maybe cause he wasn't all that when he actually drove a car.
At Steve jones intro for Coulthard. I like him.

A return to poor scheduling from C4 this evening I thought. Running a maximum 3 hour show, with 1 hour build up and where the race itself runs pretty close to the maximum 2 hours, therefore left no time for any review, post race, discussion, etc, which is a shame given how that race ended
I know Humans was new tonight, and C4 were determined that it be broadcast at 9PM to rival the offerings on BBC1 & ITV which is fair enough, but it's a shame they couldn't have just scheduled the usual remaining 30 minutes to 1 hour of F1 coverage on More4, like they did on Friday with the free practice sessions. Especially when the schedule for More4 tonight was just repeats of Father Ted that are on a constant repeat loop anyway
