If Brundle were to leave and I'd suspect many others would too it would only be to BT Sports if or when they decide to outbid SKY

By the time that Sky's exclusive contract comes up for renegotiation in 2024, I would hope that Liberty will have some other streaming options available.

And I would hope that an audience still exists.

Does the Sky exclusive deal mean C4 lose the highlights as well? Or just the live races?

Interestingly I noticed (on Sky) that Sky are now offering the F1 channel as a stand alone, no longer attached to the sports package.

They lose everything. Apparently Sky will make a highlights program available on an as-yet unnamed free-to-air channel. I don't think there are any details yet of how long that highlights show will be or when it will be broadcast.

Highlights programme will be cobbled together at last minute at sponsors insistence. Probably channel 4 or 5, or to be spiteful itv4 so freeview can't view in hd.

Sky may cobble together the highlights programme but it won't be up to them which channel it airs on. If ITV gets the gig it will be their decision to air on ITV1 vs ITV4.

From what was detailed, when the Sky exclusive deal was announced, the highlights package would be Sky presented & produced. I think they'd also said the intention is that it will be broadcast on a Sky owned Free To Air channel. So currently that would be Pick TV, or more likely it could be on the new unnamed Sky FTA channel that has been rumoured to become part of the Freeview network at some point in 2018.

Do you have proof of this as still showing as a complete Sports package for me.

I will just stick with NowTV if need to watch live.

It was an advert on Sky earlier tonight, I think I was watching Wheeler Dealers (the Lotus Elise episode) so I assume I was watching the Discovery channel.

Edit to add - Just seen the ad. again so I didn't imagine it - "Pick your sport from £18 per month".

Is it just me, or do Steve Jones and Coulthard have a real beef with each other?

They seem to be continually knocking each other and subtly attacking each other.

Doesn't help that Steve Jones is a total narcissistic plonker who should probably still be presenting pop shows!

All seems ok to me.

Quite like the interaction between them, was going to say banter but that word has the wrong connotations now.

Great move! Kemmel Tow. You can have that one Daniel Ricciardo. Let's just say they had to edit the interview.
