Just watched a rather exciting FE race from Argentina. Wasn't expecting much when I tuned in and I was almost turned off altogether by nearly an hour of boring eco talk during the build up but once the race started I really enjoyed it.

and a win from pole by a British driver in what I gather is not the best car and seemed to be trying to swap ends at every corner

Is this the dull stuff that was on itv this morning? When they went in to the pits to all change cars at the same time as they'd run out of buzz I decided that staring at a wall for an hour would be more interesting.

it's like watching paint dry they should all stand in a glass room with remote controls as in slot car racing.

Some people decided they were going to hate it before they started watching.

It was an ace race.

I think anybody that didn't find the last laps of Saturday's race exciting probably need their pulse checking!

I'm a bit "meh" when it comes to the concept of FormulaE but it does often produce a good race, which is surely what it's all about?

I pity the people who can't see past the power source and associated 'eco' connotations and enjoy what was an exciting race.

You've just described the future of F1.

Apart from the car swapping half way through which will develop over time to not need that it was a good race a lot better than most of the f1 races last year. Tbh I don't even mind the noise it reminds me when I used to race my rc cars when I was a kid.

You could be right if the promoters of FE get their way, they're already suggesting autonomous technology for F1 safety cars, pit lane etc.

Talk about a race to the bottom.....

I enjoyed that bit of racing I saw. I don't see why people are deriding it.

Just saw the last 5 laps, not bad, better than most F1, but not great. The track is too narrow and bumpy, so no overtaking (at least none that I saw in those laps).

Well there was the bloke who started in last place and finished 2nd, amongst others.

People deride Formula E because they either like deriding things or they don't like change or they are following the herd or they have an opinion . That is pistonheads for you.
You cannot compare Formula one to Formula E.
There seem to be equal numbers that like or dislike it. It has changed since the start and will continue to do so, for the better.
Great racing last weekend, looking forward to losing the car swap and maybe fan boost.
