The tragedy is that so many people in the F1 bubble will drone on about how super smart BCE is; he may be a hell of a secondhand car salesman but not once have I ever heard him say anything that wasn't either gauche, misogynistic, racist, crass,gnomic,nonsensical or all of these things . The man has been a joke for decades and the fact that we now have silly Grands Prix in even sillier countries like Azerbaijan is entirely down to his greed . Max Mosley sold him the sport for £1.50,and despite the Don King clause Ecclestone then sold it on to a bunch of shysters- sorry , venture capitalists, who are sucking the life out of the sport. But making gazillions- so that's alright then.

Just goes to prove what I've always said - and it doesn't matter what you're talking about, the minute the money men move in, the whole thing's ruined.

Look at what happened when the investors decided they wanted a slice of the classic car market; it took years for prices to settle back to a level where ordinary mortals could afford them.
