Gonna have to miss this one. Usually when I miss a race it turns out exciting, so enjoy. Hope max has a good one.

Cheers! beer

Kvyat and Verstappen are going to be in the press conference today. Who's predicting a verbal punch up? Shame Vettel is not there!

Not so sure at least one of those he did not deserve.

A topic for a different thread. Or restart one of the many that have discussed this point ad-infinitum.

It's a bit awkward. Alonso was on form, very funny 'they swapped cars?'.

Yes it was, good job Alonso was there to lighten up the mood. Kvyat looked like he'd burst in to tears any moment...felt sorry for the guy to be honest. But, unlike other RB drivers he has a chance to redeem himself. Hopefully he flourishes in Torro Rosso during the rest of the year and ends up finding a seat elsewhere.

I've thought this a few times, I think it's just his face.

Its not like the Torro Rosso is that bad a drive this year to be honest, Sainz and Verstappen seem to have been doing a decent enough job with it.

What's the delta between the harder and softer tyre around Barcelona? Mercs .5 second adrift at the moment, but guess they are biding their time and the track is still quite green at the moment.

I think Kvyat will struggle now. Sainz is no slouch - and established. In fact he could be the Rosberg to Verstappen's Hamilton.. a potential world champion imho

Verstappen doing well so far, very close to Ricciardo's time first time out in an unfamiliar car, Kvyat has some work to do to match Sainz at the moment, hopefully he can get up there and make Red Bull wonder if they made the wrong decision.

Yep, he had a conversation with Mateschitz or whoever and apparently learnt some new things, but has so far kept them to himself... hmmm!!

Pirelli reckon it's >1s. It will be good to look at more long runs in FP2. Mercedes look very fast on the Medium tyre (low 29s to high 28s). But we knew that. FIA Technical Report says new ICE and MGU-K for Rosberg. Hamilton has new MGU-H and Turbo. Sauber and Haas are running whole new Ferrari PUs.

Well if the tyre difference is anywhere near the usual 1 second Merc still have a comfy lead here.

Apparently Raikkonen's car has some issue as well? He didn't run for the last 25 - 30 mins of the session.

I hope this isn't yet another race where the challenge from Ferrari is hyped up by the media but fails to materialize from Q3 onwards.

Will Vettel be given a reprimand for leaving the pit lane when the red light was on?
