The Official 2016 Spanish Grand Prix Thread **Spoilers**
Discussion
Was there every anyone who was stellar in an F1 car but mediocre in lower formula? I guess if you were mediocre you'd never get a seat in the first place, but there's no shortage of guys who were expected to be the second comming based on their lower formula results but never really made an impact.
I always remember Hill being genuinely fast when his head was in the right place, and he took a rather circuituous route to the top. Raikonnen in his day, too.

Something is going on with the Mercs off the line. I think they have been iffy all season, Hamilton especially so.
I see that being addressed.before the next race start.
With the car or with the drivers?I see that being addressed.before the next race start.
I hear Hamilton has said in the past that he'd prefer the cars to be more analogue, but does he know what he's wishing for? I often wonder which one of the top drivers would still be top if they had to do more in the car like manual gear changes and no contact at all other than a pit board.
I imagine Hamilton would still be one of the top ones, but you never know.

I suppose what I was getting at was that Rosberg seems to have been launching the car in a different mode from Hamilton and then switching from it. It seems to be a better way (provided you remember to switch out of it ) to get off the line and Hamilton will be doing the same from now on.
I thought the same as well [controversial]
Rosberg drove like a champion, Hamilton didn't....
[/controversial]

Really good point. Nico might be starting in pit lane mode to get away cleanly, then hitting the overtake button once he's not traction limited.angrymoby said:

If it was deliberate, he's only just come up with itHarryFlatters said:
