I'm uncertain as to the relevance of your quote from Ric - that sounds like he's talking about the approach into the chicane, we're all talking about the exit from the chicane.

Oh, and where did I say you needed 'racing credentials to express a subjective emotion'? confused
Maybe because that is what he was questioning with his radio message after and not the strong exit defence. He thought at the time because he missed the chicane Hamilton should cede the position.

Did Raikkonen face any sanctions following the investigation?

No.

Ericsson has a 3 place penalty in Canada and 3 points on his licence for the Nasr attack though.

Hamilton is the fastest man on this circuit. Nobody can dispute that.
Actually it's very easy to dispute - 9 attempts, 1 pole, 1 win (nearly 2 wins of course with last year's safety car debacle, but luck had something to do with the win in 2008).

Because of Senna, Hamilton really really wants to believe and for everyone else to believe he's the quickest in Monaco but I am yet to be convinced.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
Was Hamilton quickest today? No.

He won because Ricciardo got screwed. Evens out last year I guess (in terms of Hamilton's wins at Monaco).

To be clear - I like Hamilton, I want him to win but I do not agree the assertion that he is indisputably the best at Monaco.
Thought he got the fastest lap (and Lap Record?) ergo he was the quickest today.
Fastest lap of the race but not lap record so yes LH was quickest and nearly lapped NR.
Both Wikipedia and Formula1.com list LH fastest lap today as the "lap record" in it's current configuration.

I'm confused, can you make a counter argument, or are you laughing at them (loooooooooool?) in the hope they'll go away and stop contesting your point?

Righto, thank you.

That sounds reasonable for Ericsson, acting on his frustrations caused an unnecessary incident.

Did not realise they had amended the track.

Lewis just watched the replay on C4...
"Yeah that was alright, there was a cars width there"

DR got a wobble on a wet bit.
Watching it live I thought DR lifted off thinking Lewis was going to drive him into the wall and that caused a tail traction issue. But even on DR's on-board I thought Lewis left "just" enough room as he carried on down the road.

But I can see how DR thought he had been run off the road.... But when your team don't complain on the radio, you have to assume it was a fair move....

According to Wikipedia it's in the sixth variation ( the fifth was from 2003-2014 and held by M Schumacher at 1.14.439 ) so it changed in 2015 and Lewis broke that record today with his 1.17.939 - it was mentioned on one of the SKY build ups that the current record could be broken.

I watched the race, I'm just reading through the thread now and I'm really hoping you had more than a tennar on Perez!

DR for once let himself down publically IMO. Rightfully to be pissed at his team on that pitstop but that move- he let me down there. Grow a set.

Haha. It was just a dry and immature post race response to a pre race squabble.

However... as far s a counter argument goes; you have seen the result, haven't you?

Masterclass from Hamilton.
Myself and Little Ex were discussing this during the race, Hamilton did 30/31 laps on full wets then a quick stop for a set of ultra-softs that he then carried all the way to the end of the race.

Brilliant!

It was painful, but I take the long view - if those few seconds add US interest and sponsorship to a team then I'll accept it.

Given it is 2016, to be honest I find that the girls holding the driver numbers on the grid a rather poor 70's throwback....

Yeah but those lads only ever turn left, there's major difference when you have to swing it in the other direction. hehe
