He's the most talented British driver for years, who got to where he is on pure talent, not money or connections.
So from the age of 13 being signed to the McLaren young driver programme was no help whatsoever? Blimey. In any case, back to the race; I'm really rooting for Ricciardo!

Yes and he got there due to doing well. Then he performed well in the lower series and tests. Then he performed well in F1. He is a fecking talented driver and a proper racer who can (as the greats do) drive around an issue with the car as well..... Rain is a certainty during tomorrow's race according to forecast.

Although it will liven the race up for us, I'd feel very sorry for DR if it does.http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=f1;sess=

The chance of rain has been the highest it has ever been for tomorrow since when I started this thread.
If rain arrives, I suspect all but one car will be in a dry setup. I read that Verstappen's car is being rebuilt around a spare chassis to start from the pit lane. I suspect Red Bull might gamble towards a wet setup. Hopefully he can keep it clean...and charge through the field.

Yep previously in motorsport our world champions were total liabilities at times.
Colin mcrae and carl fogarty both pottential win it or bin it specialists.
Foggy? Win it or bin it?Colin mcrae and carl fogarty both pottential win it or bin it specialists.
Make no mistake, I wasn't the biggest fan of Carl Fogarty but he was not a crasher.
Anyway. Back on-topic.
That was a committed qualifying lap from Ricciardo today, and I'm hoping it translates to a win.

Shouldn't be a problem - we saw in Austin last year how good the RedBull was in the rain. It'll also mean he doesn't have to worry about being on a different tyre strategy to everyone else.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
