Chaps, I have a problem. Monaco is my favourite event of the year (I know, boring racing, blah blah, don't care, I love it). We have a family event on this sunday which means that I can't watch the race live. Normally I'd watch on NowTV. I don't have sky so cannot record it. Channel 4 highlights are an option but I'd rather watch the whole race a few hours delayed. Does sky F1 rerun the whole footage at all? Or do I have any other options?

If you have Sky you can watch it on a phone or tablet/lappy live, or record it.

Thats if you're not man enough to just watch it.

You'll be able to download a torrent of it about 8-10 hours after the race finishes.

I had a simular issue last week!

I loaded now tv up playing on my mac mini, then started a screen recording with quick time.
Then streamed to my tv when i wanted to watch it.

The picture quality was excellant smile

This sounds like a winner. I'll go for that. Is the recording option present on standard/free quick time that installed on a mac?

I put £10 E/W on Button ( was 200-1 now 150-1 ) and Alonso ( was 150-1 now 125-1 ) at the weekend.

What's happened to Wherlein?, he was my outside bet (£10 E/W) at 3000-1 as he is now at 100-1.
I hope it's not wishful thinking but I really would like to the see McLaren go well here. The Honda engine is improved to a point where it's not too embarrassing and the car appears to corner and brake well. I would think Monaco and Hungary are the races where they should score well. Would love to see them knocking on the door of top 6.

Me too and I had decided to cover them in Monaco and Hungary after I had a good return in Spain.

Covered SV, DR and MV for "sensible bets", FA and JB for "be made up if they do" and PW for total outside bet - seeing the weather forecast had(s) hinted at rain for the race.

Don't think there will be much change in terms of the pecking order.. although i think, like last time out, Red bull will be ahead of the Ferrari's.

I always look forward to Monaco more than any other race but am always left a disappointed come Sunday's race! biggrin Practise and Qualy are my fave part of the weekend.

Why did I just read that and imagine a cross between fast and the furious 3 and death race 2000? Winner gets a bottle of buckfast on the podium, and all the grid girls wearing 3 stripe..

I had a bet on Button & Alonso E/W as well... I got 250-1 and 200-1 when I put the bet on last week. I think it is a reasonable bet considering the claims coming out of the team about Monaco and the nature of the track making it a bit of a lottery race. It would not be THAT much of a shock if an experienced driver like Button/Alonso had a fluke result..... issues for Mercedes, a bit of rain or a first lap pile up...... who knows.

I also had Raikkonen E/W @ 18-1 - seem to be able to get a much better price on him compared to Vettel, despite them being quite evenly matched so far this year.

I too considered KR as he is usually twice the odds of SV in the same car and Monaco is always a bit of a lottery but I didn't get the gut feeling about him - we shall see come Sunday.

I don't get a gut feeling either but he has been on the podium 3/5 races this year? The idea of him finishing 2nd or better doesn't seem too unlikely.
I don't really understand how they price up the odds. For example at the moment for the WDC outright Vettel is 28-1, Ricciardo and Verstappen 33-1.... yet Raikkonen is 80-1..... I don't think any of them will win it, but there is no way those guys are more than twice as likely to win than Raikkonen surely? And Hamilton is only 6-4 which doesn't seem like good value at all.

I'm not really a gambler by nature, I just enjoy making small bets on the long odds results....more fun that way when it pays off.

Same kind of issue for me too. Looking forward to my family who watch model trains going around in circles, repeatedly tell me that watching racing cars going in circles is boring..

But when you see them inches from a barrier at 100mph plus, it is most impressive.....

Your model trains sound better than mine!
